Grass Island Dog Park — Attraction in Greenwich

Pros: Large enclosed, outdoor space for your dog to run around and socialize. There is a little dog section and a large dog section. There are lots of trees for shade and seats for the humans. There are several poopbag stations that are normally stocked. Cons: The dog park is next to a power plant so it sometimes smells. The park is grass and dirt and on an hill, so if it rains or snows, it will get slippery and make for playing with your dog a big difficult; falling is likely and your dog will get dirty. Bothers me when people write off reviews. I have been to the best dogs parks and this is not one of them. Although it is the only one off leash in Greenwich so that part is good. it is boring AND it is in front of some kind of water facility; so bad view and a bit noisy. it is small but the dogs dont care . much better ones in Norwalk and westport ct if you can drive a bit. of course if you live in greenwich, it is your only option. they have a section for small dogs and one for big dogs which is...

Park is partially hidden at the top of the hill above the parking lot abd above/next to the waste treatment plant. Google Maps driving takes you beyond the parking to a section where the park is not visible.

Park itself is interesting with a section for small dogs and another for large dogs - but the large dog section has an extra gated section. Park is mostly grassed, with a moderate slope. Water is a spigot outside the park. Trash and bags...
