The hibachi was wonderful : Everything was very tasty. In addition I ordered veggie gyoza that was SO yum I recommend it with the mustard sauce I had miso soup that was not too salty and nice tasting as well. My main course was agedashi tofu and it was served differently than I ever had it. Neither was it too deep fried but also the tofu was a little firm as well which was nice. The coolest thing was that the hibachi grill was tones and the chef took time to make melodies on it before cooking. He served me like he would have served his own family and his care brought a tear to my eye and I decided to hum a tune I new, in joy. I highly recommend this place. We were a part of three and two steak eaters and I was pure vegetarian. (Fried eggs optionally on the menu as well.) This place served me wonderful delicious kindly and they have delightful statues of the Bodhisattva Kuan-yin as well as Shakyamuni Buddha. May all be happy. This place gets my five stars.

My first time here and it was a very pleasant experience. I came to Connecticut for work and was in the mood for sushi and I'm very glad I stopped here. They were extremely friendly as soon as I walked in the door and the food was excellent. Price was definitely affordable came out very fast. My whole experience was great will definitely come again next time I am in this area

Abis is like family to us! We have been coming to Abis since my daughters were little kids. We are now brining our grandchildren here! This is our go to spot for any family celebration and we always feel so welcomed by the staff! The food is amazing! The service is even better!

very dissatisfied with their lack of Covid precautions. I understand that they are busy but they should either create more barriers between seating or turn down more customers, we’ve had to sit next to other parties at this place before Covid, but even before they would leave a seat between us so no one felt crowded. This most recent time they seated us side by side to another party and before seating the other party at our table told us we have to move over our chairs a bit because they needed to sit said other party, they asked multiple times until they had us elbow to elbow from the person next to us and knee to knee at the corner seats. Again, I get that they have to try and fit everyone and pre-Covid this would be fine for the most part but it is irresponsible and outright careless of them to crowd the restaurant and fully dismiss any sort of safety guidelines. Extremely...

The restaurant was boiling so much so that it made sitting there completely unenjoyable. We were both sweating. Our reservation was at 7 and when I asked about the heat she said they had just turned the ac on. It was 85 degrees that day. Who waits until then to turn the ac? I watched other patrons around the room fanning themselves, it was horrible. The place looks old, gross and dark. The staff was nice besides one girl who came up and made a spectacle of packing up our food because apparently we were taking too long eating our dessert. She wasn’t even our waitress it was so awkward and rude. The food was subpar except the soup, the soup was gross. The only positives of this restaurant is that they are on the avenue and their chefs are super sweet. Would never go...
