Read moreThis was the second time I had eaten that white wine and butter. The Decour is the typical industrial look, which is very common for this area. First time I had ordered kale salad. Yes it was $10 but pretty tasty and very generous size but still the $62 bill for four modest bowl meals was questionable. The second time we had three with us two of us ordered the kale salad with what was supposedly creole chicken. It was grilled chicken with very little flavoring. It was still good but it was a dinner size salad bowl. The Louisiana chicken dip was tasty but when the bill came in at about $72, I was stunned people, This is a self-serve, clean up you own plate establishment, charging premium prices. I get the cost of food is gone up, but I could’ve gone down the street had a meal, bread, silverware glass etc been waited on, served, and the table would’ve been cleaned up for that kind of money. To top it off, I find it offensive to be ask for a tip from someone who is the order taker. It is their job . Especially when they don’t even come out and bring you your food. I dine world wide from 0 to 5 star+ and have never had this experience til coming to this area. Returning to this type of dining and establishment is a style I care not for , even if the chef did...
Read moreI don’t think I can sufficiently say how AMAZING this place is. Greer is known for being a small business hub. Cartwright Food Hall highlights that even more with local people serving the cuisines that are their cultural or geographical specialty. It’s a great place to go by yourself for lunch or with a friend, and it’s even kid friendly enough to bring your little ones. I’ve now tried every spot the food hall has to offer and my favorite thing is to get one item from each place and share family style. My must haves include: coffee from Flying Fox, a Cuban sandwich from Empanada Shack, plantains from Mi Irie, literally any sushi roll or bao from Momo’s Sushi, and the white wine butter pasta with shrimp from White Wine and Butter. I recently got the opportunity to talk to one of the owners, Val. He was so friendly and truly wanted to know what my experience was and what improvements I would suggest. I can’t say enough how much I love Cartwright Food Hall. It’s a place I’m proud to show...
