Man alive what can't I say.!!!! So I'm used to going into the clock and seeing lil older dude chomping on some of the food behind the counter by where the cooks are and it never really bothered me one way or the other until this past week. I very much enjoyed going into clock for my"veggie"plate. With veggies being my entire meal they always served a lil bit larger portion of said veggie. And rightfully so I always thought because it wasn't really a side it was main meal. Well don't go to clock anymore if your hungry. The have begun charging $2.58 per side and using smaller lil Styrofoam cups I'm going to say maybe MAYBE one ounce larger than your average lil bathroom sink cup. It shocked me. I felt ripped off, overcharged, taken advantage of, finally very angry as if my money was paying for lil dude to eat as well. In my opinion this was an extremely poor decision on thrust behalf. Good food.? Yes to be fair most always. But Greer folks and visitors alike, Harder times seem to have hit the clock again. So hard so as they have started once again biting the hands OUR HANDS that feed them. Literally!!!!!!!! Just stop in sometime and observe lil dude eating a bigger side than your going to get. ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI moved to Greer a year and a half ago. Iām originally from Laurens so I am familiar with The Clock restaurant. I am a ranch lover and I absolutely love The Clockās ranch. Which leads me to my complaintā¦one day I went to the Clock and ordered a calabash chicken salad. I asked for 4 extra ranches (I am aware of upcharges on extra condiments) I overheard an employee over the drive thru intercom say ā4 ranches? Thatās ridiculousā Um, I am paying for my food with my money so I donāt see why me asking for 4 extra ranches was āridiculousā. That was absolutely disrespectful and unprofessional. So I proceeded to the window and I asked the guy whom checked me out was it an issue with me asking for extra ranch? He kind of chuckled. So, I left a $2 tip and told him to put it on her check since itās an issue that I am a paying customer asking for extra condiments. I didnāt go back for a while.. but I went this evening and again, it was an issue??? I donāt understand why employees act as if asking for extra condiments is an issue? If I am paying for it, it should not be a problem. I love The Clock, but this is the second time the employees have made me want to take my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOk, so let me start off by saying the only reason for 4 stars is Ruby, our server.
So it's been many years since I've been to a Clock restaurant. The last one I remember was when I was a kid, and it was considered a "greasy spoon." So we decided to try here based on recommendations and how busy it always is. I mean, how bad can it be, right?
Super busy! Since this was our first time there, we were unsure of the process but were told to just find a seat. Ruby was our server, and she was amazing. She was supposed to be off, but another server ended up not able to be there.
I wanted something light, so I opted for the club sandwich with the broccoli casserole. The club was really good. Not hard to mess that up. But the broccoli casserole...not so much. The broccoli was way overcooked and it just wasn't good at all.
My husband had the country fried steak, and it was just okay.
We started out with an appetizer of bacon and cheese fries. They were decent but nothing special. They were at least hot.
For somewhere that prides thereselves on freshness, this is not the place.
Ruby was awesome, but food just mediocre. I probably...
