There were good things and there were bad things. Overall, I wouldn't recommend going here for sushi. THE FOOD: I had the Japanese dumplings, the Osaka sushi (Osaka special), the Philadelphia roll, and the onion soup. My friend who went with me had the seaweed salad, the Caroline roll, and the green tea ice cream (pictured. I didn't take any pictures of my food). The Japanese dumplings were phenomenal, as was the onion soup and the green tea ice cream. The seaweed salad was ok, too (I had a bite of it). But the sushi had a strange metallic smell that I couldn't find the source of. I don't think it was the fish itself. It was likely the rice or the ginger. The Osaka sushi (which was three pieces, nagiri style, one tuna, one whitefish, and one salmon) was ok, though I didn't like the tuna. The whitefish was good. The rice on all the sushi was like glue--the consistency was thick, gummy, and hard to chew. The wasabi was very grainy and the taste seemed wrong for some reason (I'm not so familiar with wasabi that I could say why). I didn't try the ginger because of the aforementioned metallic smell. I couldn't finish the Philadelphia roll for the same reason. My friend had no trouble with her Caroline roll, so it might have just been me. THE PRICE: Sushi rolls are quite inexpensive here. I believe the most expensive roll didn't go above $10, and most were around $5. The prices on the menu went up when you got into the hibachi bowls and other similar entrees, but not by an insane amount. It would be relatively easy to have dinner for two for under $20 here. THE ENVIRONMENT: It's a relatively small dining area, but the restaurant looked clean and well maintained. The server was friendly, but seemed constantly rushed, which was odd, since it was a...

On June 1st, my darling and I visited Osaka Grill for dinner after I finished my workday. As soon as we walked in, I noticed the beautiful decorations and instantly wished I had remembered my glasses. There is so much attention to detail and, to me, the decor brilliantly showcases the uniqueness of Japanese culture.

The food was perfect. I have absolutely no complaints, which is rare since I am notoriously a picky eater. We ordered the shrimp teriyaki plate with a side of miso soup and the 8 pc “Sexy Girl Roll.” Both were phenomenal. The sushi was both aesthetic and tasty, and everything was cooked perfectly in the teriyaki plate. The white sauce really complemented everything as well.

Our server was polite and quick and answered all of my questions. The restaurant was full when we went, and I thought it was impressive how she and the rest of the staff seemed to work as a team to keep everything operating with minimal chaos.

Although I was full after our meal, I decided, after a lot of deliberation, that we would order a slice of green tea cheesecake to take with us home. I’m glad I listened to my gut (no pun intended hehe) because it was my favorite part of the meal. I shouldn’t be surprised because I have a huge sweet tooth, and cheesecake and green tea are two of my favorite things ever, but it was DELICIOUS and inspired me to try and make my own!

10/10 would recommend! Definitely returning for...

We came here Saturday as a last minute choice of where to eat. Never being here before I noticed how small it was on the inside and how little staff was working. Needless to say, the service and food were both amazing! So much so that we came back last night for my nieces birthday!

We showed up with about 2 hours before they closed with a party of 9. Even though they were clearly not prepared for the size group we had, they made the best of it and so did we. Our server, different than the last time, we overwhelmed but kept great communication with us and kept expressing how sorry she was that things were taking a while. Most of us are in the customer service industry and we know the challenges that everyone is facing right now.

Same as when we went on Saturday, the food and service was awesome! Even though we were still there after closing time, they still supplied us plates and utensils at the end for us to cut a cake that we brought on our own. The owners gave my nieces asian drinks for their birthday and enjoyed some cheesecake with us.

These types of establishment are ones that I will always support and recommend. They will always take care of their customers and make sure...

Casual place for hibachi plates and sushi. We came to dine in on a Sunday evening. The restaurant is small and simple with just a few tables. But it looks like most people order to-go, and the pick ups for orders were coming in pretty steady while we were dining there. I ordered a hibachi plate with steak and shrimp, it comes with soup (I had miso), grilled veggies and fried rice. Honestly I prefer just plain white rice with my hibachi or teriyaki. We also ordered Crab Rangoons to share and while I admit they were perfectly fried, crispy and not greasy I didn’t taste or find any crab inside, but I am not sure what filling should taste like but I think it was mostly cream cheese. My husband had seaweed salad and Tokyo sushi roll and he liked both. Service was quick and friendly. I had a few questions regarding the menu and received detailed explanation.
