First I need to mention I used to work at a Pizza Hut in Mn well over a decade ago so this review comes with a ton of experience, granted from a while back but I certainly know great service when It's there. We are here at the Greer location in SC. I knew we would be cutting it real close by arriving with just a few min's before the dine in area shut down for the evening, so I called first and spoke to the on duty Manager, I believe his name is Austin? He handled the call so professionally, he was genuinely nice and we were told to come on in and he would take care of us, he made us feel like valued customers, we were stoked. We came from Roebuck/Spartanburg city line and didn't arrive until 10:55PM. Once we arrived I mentioned to Austin where we drove from and he named a grocery store right near us so that showed he really knows the area well which was kind of surprising to us as we are kind of a good distance from this Pizza Hut location. While there, an employee really stood out as super friendly, outgoing, and really made us feel a part of the "Hut Family" his name is Gabe. He is in the process of obtaining his culinary arts degree while still attending Greer High, which is in itself a monumental task and shows he has his head on straight and has already set some serious goals for himself. We talked about our recent trip to Florida Universal Studios etc. and he listened attentively and showed a genuine interest. He is a real asset to the operation there and showed a great concern for our approval of the food items that were delivered to the table. He kept our drinks full and a smile on our faces. A real gentleman. As for the food, we could not of been happier. Everything was cooked exactly as ordered and to perfection. I know this is a fairly long review, but I just had to come on here and say something about the stupendous service we experienced tonight. Sometimes people are just too fast to complain and never want to take the time to call out the great service they receive. Well we are doing just that, calling out the GREAT service we received tonight. THANKS AGAIN AUSTIN & GABE! Read moreWhy did I even try this location (Greer Wade Hampton) again after the same 1-star experience last time. We arrived at 8p in plenty of time to order. My husband was meeting me and when he got there we decided to dine in. When I asked the girl if we just sit anywhere she said no because they didn’t have a server. I told her that we don’t need a server I can walk up here and grab the box of pizza. I was really thinking OK there’s six kids back here working/not working and not one of them could bring a pizza to a table. Then the website said they had BOGO pizza on Tuesday, but she said they don’t honor that at this location, (ok could be true) then 3 of the 4 things we tried to order for the $7 dollar deal they didn’t have. We asked for pan pizza but she said they don’t have any pan pizzas or couldn’t make one (is it different or made a certain way?) The main thing we noticed and could not believe was them completely ignoring the phone ringing from behind the to-go counter. It was intentionally turned up loud so you could hear it, and I can only imagine how much business was lost. Mind you we were the only ones in there they were not busy and I counted 5 standing around. I guess because I am a manager, this bothered me more than it should have but I just wonder if there is any leadership in there at night. Read moreEdited to add... the new manager of the location called me a couple of weeks after this instance (in the beginning of May... it is now September) and told me shed credit my account $25 for the incredibly awful service. I called in and magically my $25 has been used, but no-one knows how, or by, or why. But it surely was not me.... so just another reason to avoid using this pizza hut. This is probably the worst service I'm receiving over, and over again. I don't know why I decided to give them more chances.... but I am definitely steering clear
I was completely shocked with my experience with this pizza hut. My first delivery I had ordered, it took 1.5 hrs for them to deliver my pizza. It was cold. I still took it. A few weeks ago ordered carryout, they made it incorrectly and told Id need to pay for delivery. I had a screaming baby in the car so I took it as is. Today was most shocking. I Ordered at 755pm. Called them at 915, as the order was not here. At 925 the driver called me and I explained to him that I put directions in the notes. He then started going on and on about some emergency vehicles nearby and I said "sir, nothing is going on can you please just get here" and at this point he told me he is taking the food back to pizza hut and that I can call them.
