Great food , some what Americanized but also near authentic. Their sauces are unique yet closely familiar to what you would expect, just better. A great comprimize on flavors and the chefs here never disappoint. The wait staff is geuinley polite and pleasant and make you feel as if they have been awaiting your arrival all day, they seem truly happy and appreciative that you chose their establishment when you walk in. My parents introduced my wife and I to this establishment and I have been here a couple of times and I have had an opportunity to sample several different items before leaving this review. I have not been disappointed with anything, in fact quite the opposite. Everything has been fantastick. I personally am a fan of the Bento box dinner. The Bento includes a Hibachi entre(protein, seared veggies and rice) along with, some sushi , and a couple gyoza. I prefer Katsu Chicken protein in particular, but have had the shrimp and regular grilled chicken as well. All are fantasic. I am also a big fan of the Kani Pockets appetizers (aka Crab Rangoon) are the best you can get locally. The shell is light and crispy as it should be , not tough and chewy as compared to other establishments and they are stuffed full of the crab/cheese filling. Their egg rolls are also very good and much better than average they are so fresh you get a pop of fresh cabbage flavor and the cabbage and carrot filling still has a slight crunch. They are crisp and clean the way they are intended to be. I feel certain they are never flash fried then reheated when you order, I feel they are likely hand rolled and cooked on the spot which keeps the shells crisp as well. None of the appetizers have been soggy , drowned , and saturated in stale fryer oil. Even the oil they use taste like a more expensive higher quality oil than one would expect. The appetizers have been perfect every time. It is clearly evident they take great pride in their craft and enjoy showcasing their talent and their ingredients. It is also surprizingly affordable and very reasonably priced for the quantity and quality of food that you get.I don't hesitate recommending Konichiwa to anyone willing to try something new. Take notice though the sushi served with the Bento box does not include wasabi paste or pickled ginger, traditionally sushi is meant to be eaten as prepared my the chef, however I feel confident if requested they will accomidate. I can not guarantee this since I enjoy it as prepared from time to time even though I do like ginger and wasabi. The fact that I enjoy eatimg it clean, to me reinforces my notion that everything is as fresh as it can be and prepared...

Read moreI first heard of this place from a co-worker of mine. She goes to either the one in Inman or Boiling Springs. She would always bring leftovers of her sushi and let me try it. I was always jealous that we didn't have one closer. When I found out this location was coming to Greer, I was so stoked
We, my husband and I, have been here about 5 or 6 times now, and we are in love.
I am a sushi lover, so I tend to be more adventurous than my husband, but I'm getting him to venture out and try some new things. He's not a cucumber fan, so I have to stay away from that. Me personally, I don't mind it. So far, we've tried the spicy tuna roll, the Hwy 9 roll, the chicken roll, the Tiger Clemson roll, and the salmon teriyaki roll. All have been exceptional. Super fresh and made to order.
Now for the rice bowls! They are huge, filled with rice and vegetables (onions, carrots, mushrooms, zucchini, and broccoli). We've done the steak, shrimp, and steak and shrimp. They come with your very own bottle of that delicious white sauce. I wish I knew what was in that stuff because it's so dang good.
The service has always been on point, making sure that we are taken care of and have everything that we need. The prices may seem a little high at first, but when you factor in the quality, quantity, and level of service you are getting, it is well worth it. The quality is above and beyond and the quantity is large.
Today, we had the privilege of meeting two of the people who take care of us every time. There was Gabby and Tessa. They make sure we are taken care of every time. Service and servers like them make it worth coming back.
If you love sushi and hibachi and haven't checked this place out, you need to stop by. You...
