Well, well, well, if it isn’t the little slice of heaven known as The Clock Express in Greer, SC! Now, buckle up, folks, because I’m about to take you on a tour of this time-ticking treasure trove that’s sure to make you tick with delight.
First off, let me tell you, walking into The Clock Express is like stepping into a retro time capsule. Picture this: a store that’s chock-full of clocks so dazzling, they’ll make your wristwatch jealous. I mean, there’s a clock for every room in the house, and even a few for rooms you didn’t know you had! The collection ranges from the classic grandfather clocks that make you feel like you’ve been transported back to a Victorian novel, to kooky, colorful wall clocks that might just start doing the cha-cha if you look at them long enough.
Now, let’s talk service. The folks at The Clock Express are so friendly, they make your grandma look like a grumpy old troll. They greet you with smiles so wide, you’d think they’ve just won the lottery. And their knowledge? Let’s just say if clock knowledge were an Olympic sport, they’d be bringing home the gold. Need a repair? They’re on it faster than you can say “tick-tock.” Got a question about time zones? They’ll have you sorted out quicker than you can say “GMT.”
Speaking of repairs, their in-house repair shop is like a magical clock surgery room. I took in an old clock that had been collecting dust for decades, and when I got it back, it was ticking away like a teenager on a sugar high. If you’ve got a clock that’s lost its rhythm, this is the place to revive it.
And let’s not forget the atmosphere. The Clock Express is so charming, it’s like the Pinterest board of clock shops. It’s cozy, inviting, and brimming with that classic Americana charm. It’s the kind of place where you can sip a coffee while browsing through timepieces that range from vintage to vogue.
So, if you’re in Greer and your clock’s in need of a little TLC, or if you just want to see a timepiece collection that’s cooler than a polar bear in a snowstorm, The Clock Express is your go-to spot. Trust me, you’ll be...
Read moreI ordered take out from the clock on 10/30 at 5:56pm. The girl on the phone said that my food would be ready quickly and I said ok great and sent my boyfriend off to get it as I’m not feeling well. I ordered a soup and a side salad. My boyfriend gets to the clock at 6:32 and is back home by 7:14. He hands me my food and I open it up to start eating and it’s completely the wrong order. I call the clock to see if we can just get a refund because we live 30-40mins from this clock and really don’t want to go back. They tell me they don’t do refunds over the phone but they’ll call me back and let me know what they can do. This was at 7:11. They finally call me back at 8:05 to say we can either come pick it up or receive credit for next time. I ask my boyfriend what he wants to do and he says he will go get it for me. So off he goes at 8:12 to pick up the correct order. Before he leaves I ask the girl could we please be refunded for the order since we’ve now invested 2 hours of driving and received the wrong order at this point. She says her manager says no we won’t give a refund and I’m not going to lie I was pretty upset. The girl was very nice but it was extremely rude of the manager to charge us the money for our order after THEY messed it up originally and we’ve now driven 2 hours to get the correct order. My boyfriend goes to pick it up and he said the staff were very short and didn’t even apologize for the mix up. This used to be my favorite clock and I ate here a lot when I lived closer. Now I only get it every now and again but after tonight I won’t eat there again and am just genuinely appalled by how awful tonight was. I worked in restaurants for 6 years and if we ever messed up an order we would give back their money and give them the correct food because of OUR...
Read moreWe used to go here frequently (it was a favorite), but today was our last visit. We've gotten home to an incorrect order more than once and every single time we've called in to have it fixed, we've been told that it's our fault for how we ordered it . Today's example- I said no roll. Well since the cheeseburger plate doesn't come with a roll they gave me a burger with no bun . I called in to ask for an explanation or credit or something to try to make it right and she told me that because I had said that they went with no bun. My question is... Why would you not ask to clarify if it seems like an unusual request? She even asked if I wanted lettuce tomato mayonnaise and I said yes. Those also came on the side this time, which makes no sense when it's mayo in a thing with lettuce and tomato mixed in. It also doesn't make sense that someone would say no bread when ordering fries. The whole reason I even specified no bun is because the last time I ordered and ended up with no coleslaw they told me it was because I had ordered incorrectly so I tried to specify that I did in fact want slaw but I did not mean the roll that comes on the side of a lot of their plates. At some point, enough is enough and a customer should be listened to, especially when it's not the first time there's been an order that's wrong. It's not like I'm going to drive 20 min back once I notice it at home and they know it. I guess it's my fault for not checking behind grown adults to make sure they listened and punched the order in correctly. But they were totally ok with today being out family's last day there . We will drive extra to go to the other Clock where they have never made a mistake...
