You know, paying an absurd amount for a few “deli sandwiches” would be alright if we actually received all of the food that we ordered, the food was actually made correctly (including those that were suppose to have added ingredients that cost extra that never got put on the sandwiches), or if the quality of the food and the ingredients was decent. But that’s not the case here and we have noticed a rapid decline in both food quality and the behaviors/attitudes of the staff.
We usually come to McAlister’s several times per month for lunch, but today we decided to try them at dinner time and we were not only disappointed by the experience and the food that we did receive, but we were cheated out of money as well.
When I arrived, the parking lot was empty, which made this experience that much worse. They didn’t have any other customers to wait on, so why was all of our food made wrong?
*Two of our sandwiches were extremely thin, lacking meat and toppings. I’m talking they were smaller than they normally look whenever we order them and we even ordered extra toppings like double meat and bacon on one and never received it. In fact, I bet that one sandwich had only a half serving of turkey on it, if that. It was suppose to have avocado on it and it only had MAYBE half a slice of avocado that was brown and smashed onto the bread. It was also suppose to have chips on it and it only had 3 small stale chips. They didn’t add the right sauces to it either, so it was pretty dry.
*Both servings of potato salad were the consistency of mashed potatoes. It was literally like 80% mayonnaise plus 20% mashed potatoes. It was runny and weird.
*The fruit cup that came with my son’s pizza had seen much better days. It definitely was not fresh and some of it was squishy.
*The pickles were incredibly small. I received one that was no thicker than a pencil.
*The desserts were not fresh at all. I ordered two slices of the Oreo cheesecake and not only were they stale tasting and small, but they were packaged in what I can only describe as used/dirty packaging. The boxes had some kind of orange sauce inside of them. You could see the finger prints. Thankfully the cheesecake was packaged in plastic wrap, but still.
*They left out my broccoli cheddar soup, but made sure to put the spoon and one pack of crackers in the bag, though.
I think I’m over paying $60+ for 3 sandwiches and a kid pizza from this place. Especially if there is no quality control or care being put into the...

McAllister's Deli: A Dad's Take
Let me tell you, walking into McAllister's Deli was like stepping into a sandwich lover's field of dreams. And if you're anything like me, a dad who can't resist a good dad joke, you'll appreciate their salami—it's not just good, it's grate!
Now, my boys, all-American athletes and Clemson die-hards, they're tough critics. But even they couldn't resist the charm of McAllister's. We're talking a place that's as American as apple pie, or in this case, as American as a piled-high pastrami on rye.
The atmosphere? It's got that family-friendly vibe that makes you want to loosen your belt a notch in anticipation. The staff? They're so nice, I almost invited them to our next tailgate. Almost.
Let's talk turkey—well, actually, let's talk sandwiches. They're the real MVP here. I ordered the "Big McAlister," and let me tell you, it was more stuffed than our living room on game day. And the salami? It's the kind of meat that makes you want to tell a joke—why did the salami refuse to play cards with the ham? Because it was always meating expectations!
But it's not just about the meat and bread. Their famous sweet tea is sweeter than a victory against our rivals. And the spuds? They're so big; I thought they were practicing for the linemen team.
Now, no place is perfect. We had a little fumble with a missing side of honey mustard, but the team recovered it faster than a cornerback on a loose ball. And sure, the prices might make you think they're playing in the big leagues, but let me tell you, it's worth every penny.
In conclusion, McAllister's Deli is a touchdown in my playbook. It's the kind of place where you can bring your family, tell a corny joke or two, and enjoy some good ol' American grub. So next time you're in Greer, SC, give it a try—just don't forget to bring your appetite and your...

Just placed an online order, for window pick-up, at McAlisters Deli in Greer. Arrived at the pick-up window and a young lady tells me the items I ordered, they were out of. I let her know that their website did not indicate that when I placed my order. She asked if I would like something else instead. I said no, just issue a refund to my credit card. She walks away and then returns to say her manager was checking the freezer, to be sure they did not have what I ordered. The Manager comes to the pick-up window to confirm they were out and again asked if I would like something different. I said no, just issue a refund to my credit card. Then it began....The Manager stated that I would have to forward my confirmation email, for my order, to helpdesk@mymcalisters.com and she would then send that in for my refund. I forwarded my confirmation and the manager said, Thank You, you should have your refund in a few days. I asked for a receipt showing my credit back to my credit card. The Manager stated, Credit?, as if she were confused. I said yes, I would like a receipt showing you gave me credit back to my card. The Manager stated, oh no, I can't issue the refund, it will come from the email you just forwarded back. I asked her, you are telling me, you cannot issue a customer refund, from this restaurant, for something you all do not have? She said, no, we can't. I told her this was the craziest thing I had ever heard and I told her that it will not be long before The Greer McAlister's shuts down, because you all do not have any business (While I pointed to an empty parking lot at 6pm on a Saturday Evening). The Manager told me, it won't be long before I'm gone, this place is horrible to work for. BUYER BEWARE IS ALL...
