I would give zero stars if I were able, due to how uncomfortable I was during my visit here. I was at this location on October 11, 2022. I have been to others and enjoyed them so I figured I would try this one. I went to enjoy the buffet with my family, but while I was there, I saw an interaction not once, but twice involving the manager that was working around 6:30. He was being very rude to customers that were trying to get their food at the buffet. From what I gathered, there were no serving utensils except some tongs that were sitting on the breadsticks. There were no signs and we were not told that we needed to use a specific tool to get the pizza. I watched as this woman was looking around for what to use to get the pizza and she grabbed the tongs from the breadsticks and used them to get pizza for herself and her children. I then watched as the manager came storming out with a bucket full of the serving utensils and he slammed the bucket down, which seemed very aggressive and unnecessary. The manager then comes storming back to the woman at the buffet and yelled for her to put the tongs on the tray he was carrying, TWICE. I don’t understand why he thought that was the best way to handle the situation, but it made me uncomfortable with the way it was handled. Later, I also saw him getting after a man that was trying to get himself some pizza, when there were no clean utensils again. I understand that, due to covid, many restaurants have changed the way things are run, ESPECIALLY a buffet. When new rules and ways of doing things are implemented, it is important to make sure that the customers and everyone is aware of what is going on. The way that this manager handled this situation was not acceptable and I hope that they comped that woman and her family, and the man and his family in some way. I will not be going back to this location until I know that the manager and his anger has been dealt with. No one should have been treated the way the woman and that man were, it is frightening that someone in a management position would react in...
Read moreWe’ve been eating here for many years and have never been treated the way we were tonight. We tend to look over some things, but tonight was terrible all the way around. First of all we called in an order for pickup and was placed on hold twice. After 8 min, we placed the order. Was told it would be ready in 15min. We allowed 25-30 min and still had to wait 15 min after we arrived. My husband had to go in, because someone just ordered at the window and was waiting for it to be cooked. When he received the pizza boxes, one of them had chocolate all over the bottom of the box and it got all over his hands. To keep from getting it on the car, he politely asked if they could put it in another box. Which they did. When we arrived home and opened the other pizza box, all of the toppings had shifted to one side of the pizza - and we didn’t tilt the boxes, at all. We had to literally pickup the toppings and place it on the other side. The pizzas for some reason, were thick crusted. We’ve always received pizza inn pizzas with thin crust. The pizzas had a ton of cheese and hardly no pizza sauce. It literally tasted just like a cheese pizza…we couldn’t even eat it. It tasted terrible. I called and asked for the manager and was told he was kinda busy. After I explained to the young girl about what happened, she started talking to someone and asked if I could hold for a moment. I did (for 11 min) a gentleman answered and said how can I help you? Before I could say anything, he hung up on me.. Not only was the food terrible, but the service was unacceptable. So...
Read moreThe staff were all very nice and I want to first point that out because good customer service is hard to find! Our waitress was a sweet older woman who did a wonderful job taking care of our group. Two reason it gets 3 stars. I started with 2 stars but because of the customer service, I decided on 3. Pizza Inn- the food was terrible. The buffet was dirty and the pizza was old and dried out. We had a group of 6 and came here for our daughters 16th birthday supper. By the time they brought out fresh pizza, it was too late. We had lost our appetites, ate our salads and dried up pizza, paid the ridiculously expensive $100 bill for the 6 buffets and left. The rude table ahead of us, trying to get their food and drinks for free and treating this older woman terrible though she was kind and didn't deserve it, made my husband leave a $25 tip for her and I would have not told him to do otherwise! It was not her fault the kitchen staff were slacking and gave the diners (us included) a bad experience! Though we did not complain and ask for free food or a discount, we were very disappointed for our first experience with Pizza Inn. I'm not interested in returning to pay those prices for something like this again. My daughter's birthday dinner was a true disappointment...the waitress deserves a raise and people need to get back to treating others...
