I went in last night (06/29/24) and placed a to-go order. There were two cooks, a young man and an older man. There were orders ahead of mine and the place was pretty busy. I didn't mind waiting for my order. When the server started bagging my order I saw that my sandwich was burnt. I thought maybe it was just one of them but it was 2 out of the 3 of them. I asked the server if they could be redone and she said yes without hesitation. It's not as if this was a $5 order, it came out to $42 for the whole thing, so I didn't want burnt food. The young man who was remaking it became enraged/irate when the server took the sandwiches back and asked them to be redone. He looked over at me and began slamming things down on the grill and counter. He became so angry he took the utensil that is used to spread the butter on the sandwiches and slung it onto the counter so hard it was as if you were throwing a knife in the ground hoping it would stick. Butter went everywhere in the vicinity of him. It was so loud and hard that the other employees and customers sitting in the booths next to him noticed and said something about the butter and utensil flying. The employee standing there against the counter was actually wiping butter off of her arms. The server came back over to let me know the sandwiches were being redone. As I stood there watching him, he continued to be enraged and started throwing food on the grill, slamming things around the grill, looking back at me as if he was going to come at me and confront me. He was very intimidating to say the least. The server came back over and said they were almost done. I told her that was great but I was concerned for myself and the others in there because he was so angry. She said " I told him he needed to stop and change his attitude. I know how he is because he's my boyfriend" and went back over to get my sandwiches. I watched him as he made them. He pulled the meat off the first sandwiches threw it back on the new bread then took bacon that had been sitting on the counter at the grill and threw it on my sandwiches. That bacon had been sitting there for at least 30 minutes. I placed my order at 12:09 am and walked out with it around 12:40 am, so it had been sitting there for a good little while. When he was finished throwing (literally throwing) my food back together, he then proceeded to go over to the waffle makers and slam each one of them open and shut hitting whatever was behind the top of them. Letting me know just how mad/enraged/upset he was with me about the whole situation. I was very scared and thrown off by his behavior and loss of temper/control. I can only imagine what was going through everyone else's minds. You can confirm everything I'm writing by speaking to your employees from last nights shift as well as going through your video footage from the night. I would really like to know who I could speak with in regards to this so I can follow up or answer any other questions Management may have. That will be...
Read moreVisited for breakfast on 9-23-17. Waitress was pleasant and provided good and friendly service. But, as I was enjoying(?) my meal with my friend, sitting 2 tables from and facing the restroom area, my waitress exited the ladies room as the loud flushing of the toilet was in the starting mode. No, she ABSOLUTELY DID NOT wash her hands!!! No water and No Soap and water. DISGUSTING!!!! And, as she was an older woman, it would appear to be a life-long habit of behavior of NOT WASHING her hands in the proper way after using the toilet. And then coming out and directly to my seating area to start touching all customers food dishes, eating utensils and coffee cups??? YES, DISGUSTING!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSES FOR THIS TO EVER HAPPEN!!!! NONE!!!! ESPECIALLY WHEN EATING OUT!!!!! But this issue is not just with the Waffle House, this happens EVERYWHERE, and is a clear result of POOR TRAINING and POOR MANAGEMENT!!! The rest room signs usually say.... "ALL EMPLOYEES MUST WASH THEIR HANDS BEFORE RETURNING TO WORK." And i say...WHAT??? REALLY??? And the health benefits of that is what? If the employee food handlers do happen to wash their hands after using the toilet ...WITH SOAP AND WATER -(and/or picking up things dropped on the floor) -are their hands still reasonably clean from the bathroom bacteria after touching the filthy and disgusting door handle that has been touched by EVERYONE ELSE USING THE BATHROOM??? Of course not!!! Yet no one really seems to care. How come that sign doesn't say what it should say.... "TO PROTECT THE HEALTH OF OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS -EVERYONE MUST WASH THEIR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER AFTER USING THE TOILET." And maybe then we'd have less reasons for becoming mysteriously ill??? And don't get me started on all the cellphones being handled on the job, after they've all been used in the bathroom -yes, including mine. No, we're never going to keep all the Bathroom Bacteria from escaping the bathroom and causing people to get sick, but doing very little or nothing at all will never help to keep us ALL as healthy as we should be. Why should we all be subject to possibly getting sick when eating out? RESTAURANTS!!!!! CLEAN UP YOUR ACT!!!! AND ALSO.... NO EXCUSES! NONE! -KEEP THOSE FILTHY...
Read moreBy golly, Waffle House! Now that's a place that really knows how to waffle its way into your heart! What a time to be alive! My family and I had just finished a spirited round of miniature golf – I was on fire, sinking putts like a pro, though my wife says my celebratory dance moves might need a little work. Anyway, we all had a serious case of the munchies, and nothing says "victory meal" quite like the warm embrace of a Waffle House. We waltzed in, and the aroma alone was enough to make your taste buds do a happy jig. The place was bustling, but the service was so quick, it almost made me flabbergasted. Our waitress, bless her heart, had our drinks on the table faster than I could tell my kids a "why did the chicken cross the road" joke! And speaking of jokes, this place really knows how to stack up the good times! I opted for my usual: scattered, smothered, and covered hash browns with a side of their famous waffles. My son, little Timmy, (he's a chip off the old block, always cracking wise) got a pecan waffle. He took one bite and declared, "Dad, this is nuts!" I tell ya, that kid gets his humor from somewhere! My daughter, Susie, went for the chocolate chip, and you could see the pure joy in her eyes. It was a symphony of syrup and smiles. The coffee was brewing, the hash browns were sizzling, and the whole atmosphere was just genuinely cheerful. It’s hard to have any collywobbles when you’re surrounded by such good food and friendly faces. Waffle House isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience. It's where memories are made, laughter is shared, and every meal feels like a little celebration. You can tell they put a lot of heart into their food, and you can certainly taste the love. What a time to be alive, indeed! 5/5...
