Taquería Mi Jalisco — Restaurant in Gresham

These guys, on multiple occasions, have gone seriously above and beyond to make me feel like a valued customer. I work nearby, and started coming a couple months ago on my lunch break. I always get their taco bowl with carne asada and extra sour cream - such a perfect meal! Once I came in with very little time left on my lunch break and they were PACKED with a huge line of high-school students on their lunch break. When the server saw the worried look on my face, without missing a beat she quickly murmered something to the cook in the back and had a taco bowl made up for me in literally less than 2 minutes! I was able to wait off to the side of the front of the line and slip her my payment and get my taco bowl all while she continued to serve the HUGE line of high school kids. Wow!! really made my day. I've been searching for some really good Mexican food since moving from Idaho so far nothing out here has came close. Of all the watered down white washed places I've tried out here this place hits ok, better than most but not the best. The food was fast, fresh and hot! I got the Supreme steak burrito (it was huge!) It had great balance of all ingredients but the flavor was bland, I was hoping for something bursting with a taste that you would crave! The salsas need the heat and flavor turned up as well! Needless to say, if I was I was in the area and was needing a fix I would stop but wouldn't drive more...

Really friendly staff who accommodated our larger (8+) group with ease. There are multiple different rooms offering both inside and outside seating, depending on your preference. Very easy to have a semi private meal here. Never felt rushed to leave despite being fairly busy during weekend lunch. Prices are affordable while portions are large and quality consistently high. One thing we were hoping for were cocktails, but they don't offer alcohol. Being located across from a high school may explain this, however. Great meal, though, and didn't really feel like it took away from the dining...
