Starting off by saying it was an overall good experience. None of the staff were rude or anything like that. I think our waitress may have been having an off night, because tables with other waiters were getting checked on, their food appeared to have been brought out so it could be eaten together and they appeared to have the correct sauces near us. My meal was brought out approx. 20 minutes before my partner's, we had intended on sharing both between us but he ended up having a slight reaction to the shrimp so he ended up having to wait to eat, not super common for shrimp for him so we aren't sure if it contained an undeclared egg wash, or if it was something to do with the source of the shrimp. The Lobster was pretty overcooked to the point it was shriveled on one side and completely out of the shell. The salmon was also overcooked. We had ordered the same drinks which came and were different, i.e. some of mine didn't have lime or the rim salt/sugar. They were also different strengths and filled to different levels. I did tip 20% because I don't know why our table had different service than tables served by others, I'm going to assume that it isn't generally like that, but, it was very unexpected to not receive amazing service like most other restaurants, service workers in general know that not as many people are going out to eat, and they tend to want repeat customers. Our server also complained about the giftcard, which yes, we used $50 in giftcards and it still cost me $101 out of pocket for 2 people... Next time we will just go somewhere else.
-Red Lobster Owner, no thank you. The atmosphere is great and we aren't looking to get anything for free from you, but for the pricing I would likely go somewhere else because I know the seafood will be prepared as expected for $150 and items will have consistency. The prices are high for the inconsistency and quality. I do realize we were approx. 20 years younger than the majority of the patrons, and maybe both of us having previously worked in the service industry prior to our current long time careers gives us higher standards because that's what we were held to, but I can tell you, to draw in the next generation you definitely need consistency and the value-add of a meal that is cooked in a way that reflects the price, items at the same table should be identical. I have been known to tip up to 100% for amazing service, 20% is a minimum for me and I really hate even going that low, knowing that it could have been better, your dining area is fairly open and we could definitely see the contrast between our service and what other's were getting. There was a pastor and military person having an event in the back area, I couldn't help but smile hearing him speak, his order was wrong, he was promptly brought the correct thing, once our food came we couldn't even flag a server down until we were done eating and trying to get a box to take the food home for our cat and pay, we waited approx. 20 minutes for my debit card back. We have small children, we don't have a whole lot of away time and it took us 2 hours to eat maybe half a meal with waiting for everything, it's usually 45 minutes elsewhere. I wasn't expecting a canned response I guess, I was just stating how our experience went so you were aware and can make it better for...
Read moreMy brother and I ate at this location a little over a week ago and let me reassure you, it is horrid. We tried to remember the last time we went to a Red Lobster, and couldn't, so we decided what the heck lets give it a shot! Bad idea. For starters, we walked into the establishment and were greeted by... nobody. no hostess, we stood there awkwardly for 5+ minutes waiting to even get on their list. When the hostess finally came around front, she greeted us half-heartedly and we were shown to a table sometime after that. For our meal we got the Lobster Lovers Special (or dream can't remember the exact name). For the $40 price tag you get your choice of 2 sides, 2 lobster tails, and a lobster alfredo with shrimp. We opted for two Caesar salads as our sides to start, and they came DRENTCHED with dressing. Not a single square inch of bare lettuce was seen. Needless to say, after a few bites we were done. Their only redeeming food item, the cheddar bay biscuits, were the god-send of the whole meal in-between our side and main course. Then, the real pain began. Our entrée was served and judging from the dry, colorless lobster, we should've known it wasn't worth it. But, we started in, touting that it couldn't be that bad. Wrong again. About half way through the lobster tail, which was tough and dry as a bone, my brother went up to use the restroom. I was alone with the alfredo and boy oh boy did that not go well. The shrimp were average, but the "lobster chunks" left a lot to be desired. I'm no Gordan Ramsey, but it was obvious the chunks were frozen and tough to chew. After some time my brother returned from the bathroom and told me about how he was feeling light-headed and his stomach was doing backflips. I didn't think much of it until we got up to leave, and I was struck with bad abdominal cramping and nausea. Several times during the car ride home my brother indicated we may need to pull over and purge the god-forsaken lobster lovers special. Luckily, we made it home vomit-free and spend the next few hours curled up with major stomach discomfort until we were finally able to diarrhea out our "meal". Not sure if it was a supply issue with the Covid interruptions, or a pure lack of care from the kitchen staff. Needless to say, we're never trusting another Reb...
Read moreYesterday I got married byand afterwards me, my husband, mother in law and grandma in law decided to have a meal at Red Lobster in Gresham at 18:24. We were seated at our table and ordered our drinks. I ordered sparkling water with lemon, my husband water with lemon, grandma strawberry lemonade and a margarita, mother in law a cup of warm water. The waiter replied to my mother in law, I'll do the best I can do. With out clarifying what exactly she meant by warm water. My mother in law said boiling water and let it cool down. Later on the waiter brought over 4 glasses of water. We were confused, we clarified they said it was on it was and left all the glasses of water on our table. We asked another waiter to get rid of them. (They actually forgot the margarita and half way through our meal the waiter ask my grandma in law if she still wants it and she said yes. The waiter shortly brought it over).
We ordered the staters and main meal. They forgot my grandma in law mashed potatoes. Half way through the meal they asked her if she still wants the mashed potatoes, but it was clearly too late. The same again with my husband, asked for more sauce for his meal and they brought it over as we asked the waiter for a take away box, so we can take our food home.
We paid our bill on the digital device. Then a waiter walked over with the receipt in his hands. Waves it across all of our faces and said I have the bill. Without any greeting. We corrected him saying it was the receipt and he ignored us and walked away.
I'm a British citizen now living in America and I'm appalled by this rude and terrible service. I heard about red lobster before moving to this country and it's left a terrible taste in my mouth. I've never been treated like this before, its embarrassing the service we were given. 6 consistent instances...
