Business is closed on sundays!! We typically order tamales after hiking over the weekends, and we dropped by a couple times during closed hours :(. Love Jalapeno cheese 🫔 and corn Tamales. These are the only 2 kinds we order. Jalapeño one is spicy, firm but not dry. Corn Tamale is a bit sweet with real corn kernels. Tamales is $3 each, bought 10, and got one free. It's good size.

It’s surprisingly difficult to find good tamales. Maybe because I was spoiled with my great grandmother’s homemade tamales growing up. But the ones from Tamale Factory are amazing! Meat to masa ratio is on point and they are nice and moist. I planned to make my own for Christmas but I’ll just be getting some from here instead. 🎄

First time here am very disappointed I bought 7 tamales 2 which were jalapeños with cheese. The sad part was that hardly any jalapeños were in the tamales and no cheese. Double check your tamales before you leave to make sure you order what you paid for! Looks more like masa 🙄

PLEASE go here! I have been searching for GOOD tamales. I grew up going to my friends houses who were from Mexico and their moms would always cook the best tamales. These are 5 star and comparable to sitting in your Abuelas kitchen. They are filling and the perfect ratio of meat to masa.They aren’t spicy if your one to like hot tamales. They are a GOOD size too. I will be back again. They price is really good too $3 for a big tamale. The meat is moist and well seasoned. The masa isn’t dry or too moist. These are perfect. The tamales here are amazing. They have been my go to tamale joint for a few years now. It had been awhile since I was back in this area, so I made sure to get a dozen so I could “stock up”. The price did go up since I last visited, but the prices of everything have increased and it wasn’t that huge of a gap. Definitely would recommend this place. As first impressions go: FINALLY somewhere in Portland I can get some REAL TAMALES. You can tell these are hand made with love and I love it.

We tried a mixed dozen (chose pork, chicken, & jalapeño-cheese) tamales with side of rice/beans. Tamales were deliciously STUFFED with filling, not dry at all. Salsas were delicious too!
