Oh boy. We had such high hopes for this place. We came across an awesome video on TikTok and immediately reserved a table online.

The atmosphere at Space Five was fun and amazing, my 3 and 5 year absolutely loved it! It really does have a cool vibe and unique setting.

Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. The service was terrible: slow, inattentive, and it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than valued guests. We opted to have the three option and after explaining to the waitress twice that we were more than okay paying the additional $5, she sends the manager? Owner? Not sure, to explain YET AGAIN about the menu options. Delaying eating for over 30 minutes after being seated (need I remind you, with a 3 & 5 year old). We asked for utensils, realizing after we got our food that we never received any, and you would have thought we were asking for a million dollars. With 6 people at our table, the server asked how many do we need. I don’t know, maybe 6?

The food was also very disappointing—mediocre at best, especially considering the prices. The buffet was sparse, making us return way too frequently just to check if items were restocked. The sushi came out 25 minutes into our meal and was dry. The options for not just the buffet but also to order was also extremely sparse, especially if you’ve ever been to any of the other local hot pot restaurants.

Last but not least after explaining, I can’t even remember how many times, that my 3 year old was 3 and therefore should be free…the waitress STILL had him on the bill. We also had an additional adult on the bill. Had being in this place for well over two hours with all of the delays, again…with a 3 & 5 year old. This took an additional 20 or so minutes just to sort out.

OH! And my absolute favorite part (not really) was after such terrible service, we were obligated to pay pay 18% gratuity because of our “large party” of 2 adults and 4 kids (one being only 3). Which we would have done anyways but felt being forced to tip that with the service being that terrible was probably just the icing on the cake that made me leave this review which I also never do.

I left feeling like the restaurant relies too heavily on its atmosphere to make up for what it lacks in quality and hospitality. Definitely not worth returning. And this saddens me, because it truly has so much potential and I do hope they can make some much needed changes so their business may flourish...

Waited on the waitlist for about 2 hours. After the app finally said 0 parties ahead of you 0 minutes for seating I had to wait 20 minutes to get seated. After finally being seated I waited for about 20 to 30 minutes for my waiter to arrive when I finally decided to ask the lady who took me to my seat why I hadn't been attended to after noticing the party that was behind me on the waitlist had already not only received beverages but food as well. After finally getting a waiter she comes to my table and asks me to wait 3 to four minutes more only to leave me with another waiter who also took a few more minutes to ask me for my order. After finally giving my order I had to wait another 10 minutes just for them to set up the grill. After that my friend received his hot pot after receiving my sushi the waiter finally stops by after 20 minutes had passed since my friend received his hot pot. I tell him I haven’t received my hot pot he then asks me if the guy didn't bring to which I say no. After another few minutes go bye I eventually receive my hot pot making it about an hour in total from me sitting down to finally receive my hot pot. After I also finished my drink I had to wait half an hour for my waiter to come back for me to ask him for another drink not that I didn’t ask another waiter that passed bye for a drink to eat more comfortably which they responded to politely and said they would get me a drink but they never came meanwhile the table next to me had a nice waiter who actually brought them three refills in the time I was seated next to them. All in all the food was okay but the service was absolutely horrible enough for me to write a review for...

We came in as a party of 3 and were seated pretty quickly even though it was busy, so that was nice. But everything after that was just bad. Our server didn’t know how to use the system and my friend literally had to help her find her order. We waited 20 minutes and still didn’t get our water or drinks until we flagged down the manager. Anytime we asked our server basic questions about the menu, she had no clue. For example, we asked about the green mussels, she didn’t know. Then she told us she would be right back, and when she came back she said two orders comes in three pieces. So, you’re telling me that 1 order comes with 1 and a half????

The food runner was even worse. He brought out three broths when we only ordered two, and when I told him mine was tonkatsu, he just stood there holding it in the tray. Then I asked him if I had to grab the hot broth from him myself and he said yes. Same thing happened with my friend. Sorry, but that’s not our job—if we burn ourselves, that’s on the restaurant.

Food-wise, the broth was good and the sushi was fine, but the KBBQ meat was chewy, tough, and dry. On top of that, a lot of our food was never brought out to us—it was given to the table next to us instead. The manager at least tried to help and gave us 10% off, but honestly, the service was so bad I...

To begin with- I was literally sitting in the parking lot of the Kobe House restaurant, when I decided to try Space 5; so I ventued over to Space 5... I wish I would have just stayed at Kobe House. So, my 1st impression of Space 5 was that it does have an interesting atmosphere- ill give it that. I waited nearly a half hour for just myself to be seated. The host customer service was average; the food was ok; the table service needs much improvement- after finally getting seated, a waitress immediatelygreeted me and took my order, but that was it; it took quite a while just to get my starters. This is my 3rd time going to this type of place. The 1st two times were Kobe House. The experience compared to Kobe House was sub par at most. I was completely disappointed and they are more expensive than Kobe as well. If you desire a Hot Pot style menu, with good food and awesome customer service; go to Kobe. Again, I was very disappointed! I was friendly my server that rarely checked on me and I did tip; but I was ready to go by the time my food arrived- the waiting was for the sushi and menu items. I will not be coming back to this place. Unfortunately unlike the many 5 star reviews, I was not impressed at all.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The hot pot and BBQ are both outstanding with a wide variety of fresh meats, seafood, and vegetables. Everything is very fresh and flavorful. The dipping sauces are delicious and give you so many options to customize your taste. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is perfect for enjoying a meal with family or friends. Highly recommend this place if you love hot pot, Korean BBQ, or sushi – it’s a one-stop spot for all three!
