About a year ago I went to this location. I ordered my normal drink a peanut butter power with double espresso. The drink the drink was okay there was a lot of chunks of ice in it this time though . As I took my second drink I noticed an odd texture coming out of the straw... it was a long thick black human hair.... I immediately pulled into the front of the store and took the drink inside with the long black hair hanging out of the straw. That I had pulled out of my mouth. Went up to the counter and I told the ladies I would like a refund period they smiled politely and looked at me and said I'm sorry we don't issue refunds. Would be happy to remake your drink for you. I said honey I don't drink human hair I would like a refund. They refused a refund and said they're supervisor doesn't allow them to give refunds or store credit but they could remake the drink. Again I politely smiled and said I just drank human hair I don't drink human hair I would like a refund after a long debate. And then attempting to call their store supervisor multiple times. I've decided that I guess since they can't give me a refund and I don't want another drink from their store that I suppose I would take some cake bites as a trade if you will... initially they refused this as well. Again after debating with these girls and telling them that I'm not leaving without cake bites or my money back they decided that they would give me a whole whopping three cake bites. The cake bites were not that good . every time I called to talk to the store supervisor they were never available. I just can't help but feel like they could train their stuff a little bit better with customer courtesy and also if I drink human hair I expect I get my money back because that's absolutely mortifying.... I've went back to the store twice and the service is still not fabulous . .. after sharing my experience with the scooters on 63rd and Grand Avenue in West Des Moines I decided that maybe I should write a review.... I would not recommend this scooters to anyone you might take a big old gulp of...
Read moreMy husband and I visited this evening to enjoy some coffee and games after dinner. We arrived shortly before 8, ordered our drinks and began to enjoy them. There was one other set of people present at that time. The other group departed around 8:20, and approximately 5 minutes later the music went from an ambient level to a volume where I could no longer hear my husband seated across the table. By the time that song ended and the next began, the volume increased yet again, this time to a volume we could not handle. We chose to leave, confused as the hours posted online stated the store was open until 9pm and it was only 8:28. At no point throughout the 35 minutes we were there did the barista mention a closing time earlier than 9. We are giving 1 star because the coffee is good, but the quality of customer service we received this evening was unprofessional and just plain rude. I have also stopped by once late morning and received a frozen solid scone. Not good when I have to go home to prepare something I bought through the drive through at the...
Read moreVery disappointed with this location. I received the wrong drink, I understand that happens but the drink I received I'm allergic too. I ordered my typical smoothie and has the lady repeat back what I ordered. When I received my drink via the drive through I left and after took off took a sip. Thankfully I didn't swallow any because it contained bananas(which I'm allergic to) I've never had that mix up at a Scooters before. What irked me so much was I double checked my order twice with the barista and I've tried contacting management TWICE about this with no answer. You think after serving a drink that has severe impacts on someone, they'd care to make it right with the...
