Sully's BBQ — Restaurant in Grosse Ile Township

We were lucky enough to arrive on a Sunday that Sully's BBQ decided to be open (They said they wanted to try out being open on Sunday to see how business would be). We were greeted and seated promptly. Our drinks came immediately. After looking over the revamped menu, we decided on the baby back ribs meal. We also decided to order the pulled pork street taco appetizer special. Our appetizer was brought to the table immediately. The pulled pork street taco was absolutely delicious. The portion size of the appetizer was big enough to make it a full meal. We will go back and try the pulled pork on the brioche bun also. Our baby back rib meal also arrived promptly to the table. We each picked macaroni and cheese as one of the two sides that comes with the meal. I chose the baked beans, and my date chose the french fries. The baby back ribs slid off the bone as we bit into them. The barbecue sauce was phenomenal. It was not overwhelming but complimented the meat perfectly. The flavor of the meat was as delicious as the sauce. The macaroni and cheese was thick and rich with flavor. The seasoning on the french fries was delicious. Everything about the food was on point. The music that was playing in the background seemed to tie the entire meal together. The cook and the wait staff were phenomenal as they both made sure to come to the table to see how we were doing and if we needed anything else. I am pleased to say I’ve known the owner of Sally’s restaurant for over twenty years but what I didn’t know was that he is an amazing cook. Where do I start? The pulled pork sandwich is the best that I’ve ever had in my life! The sandwich comes with an amazing sauce, the meat is extremely tender, and the Cole slaw and pickles make it simply awesome! The short ribs are extremely tender and again the sauce sets them apart from any I’ve ever tasted. Last but not least the Barbecue ribs are so tender and juicy along with the sauce creates a mouth watering experience not many cooks can capture. The staff is both professional, courteous, and friendly. I recently gave a birthday celebration at the restaurant and the staff and owners made my guest feel so appreciated and special. Everyone had a wonderful time and they’re still talking about how wonderful the food and service was. My experience at Sully's BBQ was something that has never happened to me before in any other restaurant. I entered sully's BBQ and headed straight to the restroom. On my way walking down the hallway towards the restroom, i was suddenly chased and stopped by an employee...that employee yelled in a sturn tone at me... where are you going?! You can't just walk through here like that!

As if using the restroom before eating is wrong.

I was on my lunch break and interested in having something to eat, but after being stopped and interrogated by a male employee with a rude tone... I COMPLETELY LOST INTEREST in this place. Again. Since when is it a problem to use a restroom in a restaurant and then place an order? It's a bar / restaurant and there's no sign thats says (wait to be seated or restrooms...
