I made my first visit to this establishment today. It was neat/ clean and very empty. I was the only customer there which initially gave me pause. Typically this is indicative of something not good. Still, I ordered my food and patiently waited. The young lady at the desk was pleasant and soft spoken. I got my order and left; still no other customers during my exit. I get home and I’m hungry plus excited to try the food. It’s been a long time since I’ve had island food. My order consisted of: Oxtail/steamed vegetables & white rice. The rice was a separate charge btw. This is new for me as it typically is included in the meal. Nonetheless; I sit to eat and my first bite left my taste buds like 😳 Then I stepped back and went in for a second bite. My taste buds wanted to confirm the deliciousness. The gravy for the oxtail was seasoned perfectly, the oxtail were tender and the vegetables were crisp yet steamed soft just right. The oxtail qty was only 3 but they were large in width not girth. But understanding the price of them; I get it. I still would have liked at least one more considering they were $27 minus the cost of the rice. All in all the food was very good and I’ll WILL return again. I was married to a Jamaican man for almost 20yrs so my wife experience in eating Caribbean food is nothing new. This was good food. What an amazing experience. The food was so delicious! Sorry for the long review but I wanted to make sure people reading this know how delicious the food is and tell everyone they know about this place.

My husband and I started with a punch drink, it was fruity and so refreshing. A MUST-HAVE!

For APPETIZER we ordered the Fried Zuccini Parmesan and were expecting Zuccini chips maybe with Parmesan sprinkled on it, but we were pleasantly surprised. It was delicious fried dough with Zuccini and I’m guessing the cheese was in it. And it was ah-mazing!

MAIN COURSE: Griot(fried pork) that same with a salad thingy on top annd fried plantain (yum) and Jerk chicken - (you pick your sides). I went with rice/beans and salad. I was so full after just eating half of it, I ended up having some left overs that I enjoyed the next day.

I really wanted to try dessert for the full experience but I was so full already, maybe next time! 😊

So, if you’re looking for a place where the food is so mouthwateringly good, it will transport you to a place of bliss, this is the place you want to try.

I go often, and the Food Is -Amazing- it really is. They have something here if they can wrangle in the problems spacifically:

The music is...LOUD like dive bar loud almost all the time, at least after 5 when I usually come in.

The tables tend to not get picked up very fast (We watched one table go uncleaned for over half a hour)

The staff despite there being a lot of them is almost never up front when someone comes in and you have to wait till one of the kitchen staff notices and sends someone out.

Speaking =-of-= the staff they ARE friendly people, but it feels like they are still getting their footing on how to be efficent /staff/ (Tending a customer, informing them of things, getting orders right, etc)

Today They completely shorted us 1 side, and gave us 2 wrong ones! But given its a 10 mile drive to go back its not worth it.

The Prices are a bit high as well, its gunna run you 30-45 per person. If they gave you another peice of chicken and 1 less side it would be worth the price.

I hope that they continue to grow and evolve and get better because they have an amazing place and they just need to polish it. Ill update the review...
