AutoZone Auto Parts — Local services in Groton

Please take Note - This review is about AutoZone Corporate and their unsavory sales, bait & switch tactics to make a sale - Not the store! I was looking through all the local auto parts stores for a discounted price on an Oil & Filter bundle. the best one I found was at AutoZone which is about 15 minutes from my house. The store manager (?) helped me (Male, 30's, dark hair & beard) who was polite and friendly and went to the back wall and got the correct oil bundle for my car EXCEPT they did not have the oil filter that comes with the bundle. He was very helpful and offered to check all their stores with 20 miles and said that NO ONE had the high-performance filter that came with the bundle. So, I did buy the oil but had to go elsewhere for hunt for the high-performance filter. When all was said & done it cost me extra time and $25.00 more than the original bundle cost. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?? AutoZone authorized advertising a sale price on an oil & filter bundle they could Not fulfill just to get you into their store. AutoZone Corporate is going to hear about this!!

They had the oil but No stores had the filter...

If you need more than air fresheners or wiper blades go somewhere else tried to get running lights for the top of my chevy after trying to explain over and over that im not an ambulance or cop i dont need a light bar running lights on the roof they couldn't figure it out went to advanced within a few seconds they were grabbing the lights today tried to get hood pins they acted like I was inconveniencing them then said they dont have em w an attitude i guess they're not too worrried about selling things anyway back to advanced and within a min had the pins there been a few other instances over the years i guess...

Walked in looking for a braided strap to run as a ground from my engine to my chassis. Associate asked me if I needed help. When I explained what I wanted he rolledhis eyes pulled me over tohis computer, saying I needed the specific negative cable for my year make and model. When asked why associate again rolled his eyes gave an audible sigh and informed me to "just go to oreillys, they have the part I need. I know my battery cable is fine. But this level of customer service is unacceptable. I'm not looking to replace a battery cable. I know what I'm doing...
