The absolute worst experience with this location tonight. It's 5:45pm dinner time. The only way to put in an order is over the phone, after 15-20 minutes of calling and the line just being busy, a friend was kind enough to go, put in and deliver an order for me and my kids since I'm home recovering from surgery and can't drive. I figured they were busy. I've been numerous times that had a line and long wait, but the food was always worth it But today when she got to there, no line, only one customer in the lobby eating not busy at all. So what, the phone gets taken off they hook so people can't order? (That's a guaranteed way to loose business.) The order: A bacon cheeseburger with mayo instead of thousand island and no onion. Just the burger no combo. And a chicken strip w/fries, two extra ranches and a medium chocolate shake, and an order of onion rings. $38.36 After taking payment they realized "the shake machine was dirty and they wouldn't be done cleaning it until after our food would be done". They didn't charge for the 2 extra ranches($1.50each). So instead of refunding for the $5.10 for the shake, they gave 2 ranches thay were barely half full. The chicken strips were a joke so tiny my 5yo wasnt even full, not at all worth the price. They didn't give us the drink that goes with the chicken strip combo, that was $13.50. An absolutely disgrace for the service all around from this place. This will absolutely be my last...

Orcutt Burgers, 1771 W. Grand Ave., Grover Beach
Points lost: -63
Notes: Orcutt Burger in Grover Beach was temporarily closed due to an “imminent health hazard” after inspectors found a “severe and active cockroach infestation” at the fast-food joint. According to inspection notes, cockroaches in “all life stages (dead and alive)” were found on sticky traps below the cookline. Because of the violations, the restaurant was ordered to close until it contacted professional pest control services and did “a full treatment and assessed the severity of the problem.” The restaurant also lost points during the July inspection because it had no designated person in charge at the time of inspection, a hand sink in the restroom was disconnected from the water supply and had no warm or cold water available, and “excessive litter and debris” was found around the outdoor grease container and dumpsters. The vermin issue was addressed by an Aug. 1 reinspection, and the restaurant was allowed to reopen — with the caveat that pest control continue to do “aggressive follow-up treatments over the next...
Read moreI remember when this place replaced KFC I thought it would be a quality replacement for a sub par fast food restaurant. Everyone told me the Orcutt location was amazing. Now I long the days of when KFC used to be here.
Orcutt Burger is one of the biggest disappointments I've ever come across. A double cheeseburger and fries was 9.55. The burger was bland, the fries were lukewarm Alongside that, I was served by a cashier named Samantha who just came off as completely unfriendly. I try just to make normal conversation and she kind of gave me a don't talk to me kind of look. I work as a cashier at Target and always put customers first in the friendliest and funnest way possible. Samantha wasn't even trying to do her job in that manner. Orcutt Burger's website claims that it "prides itself on it's exceptional customer service and above average, always fresh cuisine." I got none of that when eating here. However, I still give it a two star for having decent portions.
Bottom line if you want to pay the prices you pay here, but want the experience that they advertise, go...
