I can’t believe you guys keep this waiter around. Look at all the bad reviews you have about the waiter with the ponytail. Listen to your customers
We have visited Fugazzetta a three times in the last 6 months.
The food here is amazing, and the atmosphere is great.
My wife took me here on a date back in 2024, I really loved the place. So went back in March 8th 2025 to celebrate my wife Military Promotion at Fugazzetta.
We were welcome properly and seated for a party of 6.
The place wasn’t really packed for a Saturday at 6:40pm
It took us by surprise that Unfortunately our waiter was the worst hostess that we have seen yet so far.
Everything started with a huge delay of 20 min to even get the order for drinks, but the table next to us being served by the same waitress and got there after us got their drinks order and their drinks first. We brush it off and continue!
Oder was placed and we got our drinks and food, the second waitress who brought our food was really nice and attentive.
Food was amazing and delicious we started to turn things around, taking photos, videos and just chatting.
But no matter how much we tried, our waitress who I believe his name was Cesar “photo of him included” was destined to make our visit very uncomfortable and challenging.
I had to get up a few times to get drinks, which he requested me to go sit at the table and he’ll bring them over.
Shortly after he started picking up the table he dropped a pizza utensil on top of my wife’s head, without an apology he continued.
He came back and asked us if we wanted any deserts, 1 of our daughters wanted a Crème brûlée so we order 1.
About 15 minutes later he came back and once again asked us if we wanted dessert. At this timeline I was upset and told him we already order 1 Crème brûlée, he stated that they were really busy and he had to baked the dessert himself 🙄. Keep in mind had mentioned it wasn’t busy for Saturday night.
So, I just asked for the check which another waitress brought over, we told the waitress our stress over the service, which he advice next time just asked for someone else and he apologized.
We usually tip between 20% 30% this was the first time we had ever tipped 7%.
But situation got even worst, 2 weeks later when we went to take our daughter to eat the Crème brûlée.
We end it up with the same waitress. Which he had remembered his 7% tip.
My wife was already uncomfortable and before I was able to change my waitress “he stated” and “I quote” I’ll bake the desserts myself so you tip me better this time….
Listen, instead of getting 3 Crème brûlée, we got 2 since my wife lost interest. We left there very briefly and in disbelief. Unfortunately we do not have plans to return. Regardless how good the...
Read moreI’d like to say that I had a great time the other night like I usually have here. Food is great, never had a complaint about that.
The waiter whom attended us on Wednesday night though, honestly, should not be attending the restaurants clients. This place has always had friendly and helpful waiters/waitresses, I don’t know how this person passed an interview to wait on tables, when the least he did was actually come over and ask if we wanted anything to order.
It took him a half hour between giving us our appetizers and water (regular filter water that we were charge a premium for), and asking if we decided what we want to eat. He gave us the so called “filtered water” because when we asked for water from the house he straight out said it was “brownish” right now. I found that to be strange, but asked him for bottled water instead since we had no problem with that, but he brought us water in a glass that didn’t even have a sealed cap on it and began to say “we don’t like to take advantage of our clients, so I brought only two of these bottles as they will fill the 4 glasses and not cost as much”. I didn’t care about the price, if that were an issue I would’ve gone to a fast food restaurant instead. I cared more about the suspicious way he talked about the water and not wanting to take advantage of his clients, yet the bill charged us $7 for the water. It took him another 10 minutes to return and ask if we were ready to order yet.
Usually waiters ask once they hand you the appetizers or drinks, but he kept on attending the only other two tables that were used in the entire place. Mind you, it’s not a big restaurant, it’s very cozy and as I mentioned already, very friendly towards the clients. Maybe it wasn’t his best day, but if your job is to wait on people it take their orders then you should do that without ignoring the table you’re supposed to be serving.
This is the first time I’ve declined leaving a tip. When he finally asked us if we wanted any food after the appetizers I politely said no, we’d like the check please. He just turned around without a word and didn’t come back to our table. Another waiter, very polite by the way, asked us if everything was okay or if there was an issue. I told him that I was uncomfortable with the way the other waiter was ignoring us the whole time when the place is less than half full (4 tables total at this time), and we didn’t want to consume anything else form them.
Please consider hiring friendly people as waiters. I know the restaurant industry isn’t the best, but it impacts poorly on the image when someone like him does this. I love the food there, but I’m seriously considering not going back because...
Read moreSadly this is the first time I write a bad review. Ive had 2 for 2 bad experiences previously (and never critiqued them) in 4 years; both times dinning-in (Slow/bland taste/expensive) and decided to give it another try this time, lunch time take-out. I called in and the person on the phone was attentive, and told me the wait was 20-25 minutes. Although in a hurry, I accepted assuming there was a wait everywhere. (FYI, within 1 mile you have Dominos, Papa John’s, Competidors, Puerto Madero and Faccio). I took a few minutes and arrived 15 minutes later in case the pie was ready earlier. To my surprise I noticed the restaurant was empty (2 tableclients), the oven was empty ( no orders cooking) and 4 employees were huddled in the kitchen maybe all busy…with no customers???. After 20 minutes I had paid, the pizza chef, started looking for the first ingredients, then stretching the dough. That’s when I asked to cancel my order as I knew this would take more than 25 minutes. The manager Christine, was more interested in giving an excuse that they were ok in starting late to prepare the order before cooking as they had told me up to 25 minutes.
Having more than enough employees to pay wages, no lunch clients and paying for the space a/c, electricity is a recipe for failure. Soon they will start buying lower quality ingredients. No wonder Puerto madero (same oven/ingredients and OWNER) is always full: they are Quick, the service is great and it tastes better. The poor service makes the difference. Ask anyone around, they prefer the Faccio, competitors or Puerto madero pizza vs Fugazzeta. Christine, I hope you take the feedback and turn it into a positive for the business instead of justifying the lousy service and walking away ignoring the...
