My wife recently went, to buy 1 (One) cupcake as a gift for a friend. The employee stated that the price per cupcake was $3.95 before tax but then they tried to charge $8.95 (see photo) and also wanted tip!?

Upon asking the employee if the price was correct for one cupcake, they just said yes with some attitude. My wife left the bakery and did not purchase anything. My wife contacted the business owner through DM and explained the issue and they have not provided any response.

I love the cakes from Kanella. Every birthday celebration in my family goes with one of their cakes. Super moist and tasty. Their selection of small size cakes and cups are great as well.

But not everything is perfect. I usually avoid two items particularly, their brownies and the tres leches. Brownies may look tasty but every time I try them they are dry and rock solid, like they were sitting there for a week. I love their cakes are beautiful and tasty but need to explain how to store the cake if not using it on pick up day apart from telling you to keep it in air conditioning wich makes no sense need to come up with a way to tell people who to store it in the fridge cause just telling me they keep it in air conditioner helps me in no way they do warned you about leaking wich I get and appreciate but more info would be helpful I bought a display cake and 4 cupcakes...
