First time visiting. Had a $300 table and management still made a scene about a 20$ plate that they had to redo due to their mistake. EMBARASING ORDEAL. RUINED THE OCASSION. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
ISSUES:
Place was empty and it was very slow service and it was a Monday or Tuesday. One of the waiters kept doing "pranky" jokes that were not well recieved. Like saying, "place is closed, or we cant have this" It confused us and took the atrention from our experience to him. He needed to be focuss on serving us rather than on trying to entertain us, Im sure this lack of focus made him fail at both. (We still tipped 20% because the main waitress was a very nice woman)
Two of us ordered similar rice items on the menu, we ordered them as a suggestion from waiter, I told them it was our first time so we had no idea how the plate would actually look like or how it was called.
It took a while.. but they give me the first rice plate, along with other plates, they give everyone their plates including mine, but still I see there are two people without their food so I wait a bit for the rest of the order but almost 5 more minutes passed so I take around two bites, at that time the waiter comes with the other plate and calls out their mistake and we sent the plate back since it wasn't what I ordered, my plate was aroud 10 dollars more expensive than the one they gave me.. . (Plates still tasted flavorless)
Table decided to eat, since half of the playes were already cold. And while we are eating the waiter started interrupting us because the Manager told her we needed to pay for that returned plate, we said that makes 0 sense. This back and forward happend twice. We explained what happened at first they said it was ok. While this happened we were still waiting for returned plate. The plate took forever to be prepared, everyone had already eaten when they finally brought it
Then at the end, when we looked at the reciept they TRIED TO CHARGE US for the plate... very sneaky. We noticed the charge and instead of just honoring since our last argument.. The Manager (very young girl) decides to come to our table and say that due to POLICY they needed to charge us but for "THIS TIME" they were going to make an exception. It felt like we were kids.
So I said dont worry there wont be a next time. And it wont. Gave 2 stars because one waiter was ok and place looks pretty. But they just ruined it for me an my out of state guests.
DO NOT RECOMMEND, rather go to...
Read moreWe had a mixed experience here. It’s a shame for the chefs, as the food was tasty for the most part, but the service gave a bad impression.
We were ignored for 20 minutes after being seated, and decided to order apps and mains at the same time to avoid a long wait. Aside from bringing the food out, the server didn’t check on us at all throughout the dinner to see how the food was, to offer refills, or to ask if we wanted dessert or anything else.
We were finished eating for quite some time but our server was nowhere to be seen, so we had to track down the hostess to ask for the check. We also noticed that the server at the table next to us brought the guests a bottle of Perrier with no glasses to drink from. The guests actually had to call him back to ask for glasses. This just seems like common sense.
The chicken spring rolls were good - but that wasn’t what we ordered (we had ordered the shrimp spring rolls). Since our server disappeared after dropping off the food, we couldn’t even tell him about the mix-up so we just ended up eating them. I just hope the poor soul who got our shrimp spring rolls by mistake didn’t have an allergy! My husband loved the pork bao, and the edamame was yummy. I had the chicken pad Thai and I thought the noodles tasted great. My only complaint is that the chicken in the pad Thai had an odd charred flavor, as if it had been cooked on a dirty grill.
Despite a delicious looking menu, I’m not sure I would give this place another shot unless I saw reviews saying the service had improved since our visit. Respectfully, they need to get...
Read moreI recently visited Nacion Sushi, drawn in by its promising atmosphere and good food. The restaurant's ambiance lived up to expectations, creating a pleasant dining environment. The food, when it finally arrived after a considerable delay, was delicious and well-prepared.
However, the glaring issue was the painfully slow service. A two-hour wait for sushi is understandably frustrating, and the excuse of "rice theft" sounded improbable. The efficiency of the kitchen should be a priority, especially for a new and busy establishment.
On the downside, the drinks, particularly the cherry blossom, were disappointing. I strongly advise against ordering it. It's disheartening to hear about the additional issue with the charged drink that needed replacement. A gesture of goodwill, such as not charging for a corrected order, speaks volumes about a restaurant's commitment to customer satisfaction. In this case, the management's response to such situations could indeed impact the overall experience. I hope your feedback prompts positive changes in their approach to customer service.
The need for improvement in both service speed and drink quality is evident.
Despite the hiccups, I'm willing to give Nacion Sushi another chance. Hopefully, this feedback serves as constructive criticism, urging the restaurant to focus on refining its...
