We came here for dinner Thursday evening after getting into town. We wanted something close to our hotel with outside sitting and appealing appetizers, and this place fit the bill.
It's a small little restaurant - we wound up sitting inside as we were in a hurry to get to a conference opening that evening and didn't have time to wait for an outside table. The inside is cramped and quite noisy. There's a nice bar and a couple of TVs.
We only wanted appetizers to eat as we were still fairly full from lunch and also were trying to get to the conference. We ordered the Buffalo wings and the appetizer sampler, which came with chicken tenders, fried mozzarella, and fried mushrooms.
The food was decent / pretty good. The wings needed more sauce and the tenders were small and kinda chewy, but the fried mozzarella was good (only three pieces though) and the fried mushrooms were also very tasty, especially with ranch. The sampler platter was huge, but mostly fried mushrooms -- only 4 small tenders and 3 pieces of mozzarella. Luckily, the mushrooms were probably my favorite thing, lol, especially with the tasty ranch dipping sauce.
The main drawback here had to be the service. Our waitress was incredibly surly and unfriendly. She appeared visibly annoyed when she learned we were only ordering appetizers. I get she probably wanted a bigger tip that would likely come with entrees, but we always tip generously and we had every intention of allowing her to turn the table over quickly. Her demeanor changed a little bit when we ate quickly and asked for the check (we had to stand up and go find her as it seemed like she was ignoring us) and she even brought us an extra ranch without us asking to add to our to-go box, which was a nice touch, but it was too little too late to prevent a sort of sour experience.
The food that we had is worth a visit if you're in the mood for that sort of thing; hopefully, your waitress will be having a better night than ours. The rest of the staff was pleasant and seemed to be...

Decided to stay and wait, grabbed drinks at the bar and went outside. The wait turned out to be about 40 minutes but we were talking and cutting up with the crowd so it went by pretty quickly. Everyone was in a great mood! It was st paddy's day and spring break so everything was crowded. All the young people were so friendly and brought so much energy to the evening. Anyway, we got our table and was pleased that it was on the outside seating area. The menu had so many goodies it was hard to choose. I ordered the combo platter which had crab legs, royal red shrimp, new potatoes and green beans. Yum!! I also ordered a fried crab claw appetizer. Everything was huge portions but I was sorry I had ordered so much. Not really because I ate all the shrimpies and crab and a lot of the fried crab claws. The taters were delicious as were the green beans. I do have to say I was a bit disappointed with the fried crab claws. I'd seen a photo on a different restaurant's website and they looked fat and delicious!! The ones served here were pretty skinny and not all what I had expected. But they were very tasty, just not as much meat as I expected. Our server was Chrissy and she couldn't have been better! She was running her tail off taking care of the crowds. I'm sorry to say we run her butt too, asking for more cocktail sauce, more drawn butter and more beer. She was quick as a wink every time and had a great attitude. I know there's a lot of restaurants to choose from around here but I think we made a great choice! Everything was wonderful. Everything! One thing to add... we got key lime pie (made in-house) to go and had it for breakfast today with our coffee. It too...

We went for lunch and they were not crazy busy, we timed it perfectly for a party of 8 plus a baby. HOWEVER , this time we almost left without being seated, the HOSTESS, MERCY, was sooo completely rude to me as I told her how many were in our party and last name and patiently waited for my family to walk up after parking. Like she went out of her way to continue to say rude things, I thought what on Earth is this girl’s issue? Then my adult daughter walked up with her baby on hip and same thing to her, just straight up rude! My daughter noticed instantly and shot back a comment, “ please” !! She looked my daughter up and down with a nasty look on her face. I was literally about to pull the plug, but there was no wait, and we were hungry so I bit my tongue as hard as I could . As I sat there at the table I decided to get up and ask a waiter I saw what her name was. He kinda let out what I took to be an “oh lady believe me, I get it” expression & said he did not know but he would find out and be glad to get a manager. He also said she doesn’t typically work here “they all” come “ here” ( I assume USA) to work for the summer. I declined getting the manager, but I did want her name and he came back to my table to tell me it was Mercy…Bahama Bob’s hear me when I say ppl like this can ruin an establishment!!!! She had a nasty attitude for no apparent reason other than that was her personality, consider hiring local ppl that will care about your business!!
Absolutely best seafood restaurant in Gulf Shores!!!! bonus is it is...
