Whataburger — Restaurant in Gulfport

I visited Whataburger right before leaving Gulfport for Atlanta with my family. I should have gone with my gut and visited the night before leaving the casino, with a liquor-encouraged pallet. They are open 24 hours so this is a plus if you do not want Waffle House. They serve breakfast from 11 PM – 11 AM. Personally, I suggest the burger after trying the breakfast food and seeing what the burgers look like. I did not try the burger because we came in during breakfast time and I just could not justify eating a burger at 10 AM. The customer service was great. The staff was kind here and the restroom was clean. My husband and I ordered the hot honey chicken biscuits, a grilled cheese kids’ meal, and a biscuits and gravy. I do not like my biscuits and gravy with sausage chunks but did not know that it came this way automatically. The staff fixed it for me, and it was filling with the plain white peppered gravy. The chicken biscuit was good although the hot honey sauce was a bit messy. I loved that the cashier brought the food to our table and had an array of condiments, sauces, napkins and salt and pepper for us to pick from without leaving the table. Overall, the food was just okay. My son ate the apple slices with juice and did not really eat the grilled cheese sandwich. I think that I would order a burger on my next visit, if I am ever in the area. The breakfast was made fresh and it was just okay. I was not exactly satisfied after leaving. I saw that another guy ordered a burger with onion rings and the burger looked like a Steak and Shake burger and the onion rings looked like the ones that Burger King sell. With that being said, I wish I would have ordered a burger, I mean the place is called...

the night workers here are absolutely awful. not only did the MANAGER have an attitude and practically dropped the food into my fiancés hands, but they also prioritized their workers food over the customers. a man that they knew personally came into the restaurant, and they also prioritized him over every other person. when we went to order, the cashier walked away the moment we got to the register to check on another employees food.

we also waited for the drink machine while an employee was making herself a drink, and she side-eye glared at us over her shoulder the entire time we waited.

then, the same manager with an attitude sat in the lobby for about five minutes complaining to the man they knew personally.

on top of it all, i tried to use the restroom, and i saw an employee sitting on the floor in a stall, very loudly watching videos on their phone.

this isn’t the first time we’ve had an awful experience with the night workers here. my fiancé came one night with his cousin, and the drive thru worker made fun of his voice after he finished ordering. proceeding this, they waited over an hour for their food when they were basically the only people inside the restaurant. not a single time did a worker check on them, update them on their order, or anything.

overall the most unprofessional, rude, and entitled group of workers i have ever come across. 0/10, do NOT recommend this...

My experience was horrible on this night 4/12 at about 9:35 i went to order a whataburger melt and fries so i was not told the price of the order so when i get up to the window erika was the window staff she told me the amount. So i was looking at the receipt and i paid with a card so when she come back to the window i told her that i didnt wont the order because she was so rude and that she did not have to mumble while she shut the window i heard some of what she said, while waiting for them to give me my refund a young man name Dexter came to the window loud yelling i ask him why he was yelling and rude i told him he was going to give me my refund he shut the window so hard like he was slamming a door in someone face two more other employe was looking strange at him they knew it was not right one of the young lady came somewhere in the back and was very nice she was trying to defuse the situation because she knew it was not right. All i wanted was my refund never would i attempted to eat at a whataburger...
