JJ's Drive Thru Hamburgers — Restaurant in Guntersville

The food was good. The woman at the window was very nice. It took a while to get my food which is okay even though I feel since I waited so long my fries should have burned my mouth because I'm assuming I waited so long because food is cooked fresh? I don't really have a complaint except the place closes when they choose to. You can wait in line for an hour behind three cars and be told they are closing. I was told by someone that works there they only close early when they are dead. I'm wondering why the restaurant closes sometimes even though they still have customers in line. Not to mention these customers who wait behind three and four cars are waiting for at least an hour. I can cook 300 steaks in an hour. I have passed this place a ton of times and always wanted to try it. Every time I go by there they are closed even if it's 11:00 a.m. I finally caught them open today and while I did think the food was satisfactory I won't be back after reading the reviews. They close whenever they damn well feel like it and they don't care how long you have been waiting behind cars. Someone should have came outside and told that person they were closing instead of having them sit there. What I don't understand though is why are you closing if you have business? i have yet to try the food. which might be a bad way to start a review but every single time i’ve gone i’ve waited for almost an hour without even getting to the window. i went one day around 3 and there was only one car in front of me so i thought i wouldn’t have to wait long, but i was there for at least 45 minutes and the car in front of me did not move. was very disappointed. then, a couple weeks later i went back right at opening. they open at 10:30 am and i was there at 10:45 hoping since i was the first there they wouldn’t take as long because i’ve been wanting to try the food here. after waiting for someone to come to the window for about ten minutes, the lady rudely opened the window and said it was going to be about 30 minutes before i could order. and i said alright but don’t y’all open at 10:30? and all she said was “yes. but it’s still gonna be 30-45 minutes” and i get it. food service isn’t easy but don’t say you open at 10:30 if you aren’t ready to serve food at opening time. open later if you aren’t going to be prepared. very very disappointed in the both times i’ve been and i will...

JJ's is a Guntersville icon known for their drive thru only hamburgers & fries! They offer a variety of other meals like chicken sandwiches and chili dogs. I recommend the bacon cheeseburger combo! Their fries are seasoned and really good.

It's located in a small blue and white building. You'll miss it if you're not looking closely. They have a double drive thru, one on each side. Use both for faster service. Order at the window only. Sometimes there can be a decent wait but definitely worth it.
