C+C Eatery — Restaurant in Guthrie

We had rented a little AirBnb and drove up from Dallas-Fort Worth. I'm originally from the Stillwater area and know Guthrie pretty well. Out of the three places we looked at to eat, C&Cs was my first choice. I love hot dogs, coneys, fries. And the pictures, I could tell this place would be right up my alley. My travel companions choose another eatery but when we arrived it was packed and an hour wait. I called C&Cs to see if it would be the same situation and was told they had openings. And amazingly it was just around the corner of our AirBnb. And let me tell you, the staff were very friendly and kind. The food even more so. I was very surprised that the place wasn't packed because it was so good. The Spicy Dog was absolutely devine and the fries, don't even get me started. They really do have something special here. I love supporting small business and was proud to be a patron. And C&C's was such a treat and falls into all the categories we look for on vacation. Great food, great value, great customer service. I hope the good people Guthrie realize what a gem they have. Honestly I would travel all the way from DFW again to eat here. Thanks C&C Eatery! I'm already looking forward to...

Cute little place near downtown.

We ordered the Frito pie, chicken Philly, regular Philly and the Sunday special.

The special is worth coming for, and I would absolutely come back and order it again. The special today was roast beef, baked chicken, strawberry salad, green beans, garlic mashed potatoes and a roll. The roast beef was more pot roast and was seasoned perfectly. Both the chicken and beef were tender. The green beans were good with bits of ham. Red skinned mashed potatoes had a good garlic flavor. The salad had a sweet poppy dressing with strawberries and spinach. It was by far the best item on the table. The price was good for the amazing spread provided.

Both cheesesteaks had well seasoned meat. It would be much better if the roll was an Amoroso roll or quality hoagie. The bread is too dense and tough and too bready which takes away from the flavor of the meat. It’s a bummer because the meat is really good but you can’t tell with the roll.

Frito pie was respectable. The chili is over seasoned, or seasoned too late in the process, giving the spice a raw taste. It isn’t bad, but it isn’t great.

C and C Eatery is a beautiful gem in the heart of Guthrie, OK. This quaint family style restaurant serves up the best food I have had since moving from Boston in 2023. The Philly Cheesesteak has been my go-to, The meat is perfectly seasoned, and the bread beautifully toasted which compliments the Cheesesteak. Fries are perfectly salted, however I went Sunday, and had the Soulful Special: Baked Chicken, Fried Potatoes with Sausage, Cornbread Casserole, Cabbage, and a roll, and a slice of Lemonade Cake. The chicken was moist and flavorful, the potatoes and sausage were amazing, I could not get enough of the Cornbread Casserole, and the Lemonade Cake was devoured in less than three minutes. The food is definitely homemade which is refreshing and a treat, and the service is friendly and hospitable. I will be branching out and trying the Brisket and Chocolate Cake on...
