The Jungle — Restaurant in Guthrie

I had a big group with me this last Saturday. We had an OK time but had a much better experience down the street at the blowout club. The jungle used to be a fun time and place to be but with the price increases I’m not sure we will be back. My boyfriend and myself were also charged twice which is absolutely absurd to do that to people especially during a recession. I would really like my money back. I purchased two bucket drinks which used to be 10 each and is now 12 apparently. No big deal but I have a 28 dollar charge and another 23 dollar charge. I only bought the two buckets! I’m not sure if it’s under new management but something has got to give. We also waited a good 20-30 minutes just to receive our drinks because the only bar tender they had was checking on food and trying to serve drinks at the same time with no help. It was a disappointment overall which sucks because like i previously stated it used to be such a fun environment. My husband came to Guthrie on a temp construction job from Wichita, KS. I visit him once a week while he's working for dinner and drinks. We did a google search for food and drinking establishments. The Jungle was the highest rated so we thought we would see what it was all about. The moment we walked in, the business was clean and had some pretty amazing decorations. We were met by their bartender Zack. Zack is friendly and outgoing . He gave us history of the town and the bar itself. He told us all about the bar entertainment and what's going on around town. We've met with locals who have also been friendly and helpful who visit the business. They also have tons of entertainment at the bar as well on the weekends. The drinks prices are amazing too . One of my favorite dive bars. Great music. Reasonable bar food. On Fridays and Saturdays, they do karaoke! Its always a good time. The staff are really nice and don’t have that typical stereotypical rude bartender attitude. They are down to earth and made my night when I went. The karaoke organizer and his wife are very nice and know how to have a good time. A must have stop if you're in Guthrie and want to experience what the night life has to offer! 🍹
