Mr. Lu's hasn't always impressed me in the past, but this time was a little better than before. The buffet was open! That alone is different than most places alone. Food was decently fresh. Not too bad if a selection, although I was saddened not to find any orange chicken. The food however, again, was pretty good. I was a bit grossed out when the cook came out scratching his arm over the food, and then touching every serving spoon without once wearing a mask, gloves, or using hand sanitizer. If there's a chance you might catch covid there, its a big chance. Masks are not enforced inside the restaurant or buffet, but they do offer hand sanitizer to use before eating. Staff are very friendly and helpful. For 4 people with drinks it was $45 which for the diversity of food and cleanliness I thought was a bit pricey. At $11 a person I would have expected a bit more anything really. Whether it was better tasting, cleaner, more diverse, better decor, or again anything. Can't argue too much though since there really are not too many buffet...
Read moreCame to town for the 89er celebration and decided to eat lunch here. Worst mistake I made. First plate of food had a hair in it so I sent it back, went back for another plate and guess what more hair. After letting everyone else finish their lunch I proceeded to wait on a check to pay which never came so I went up front to the desk and waited. While waiting to pay for my wife’s meal I sent her outside to start the car and wait while I pay, out of nowhere the owner of the store went to my car and started banging on the window yelling at her saying she didn’t pay. Nvm mind the fact I’m the only person at the register and he seen me waiting to pay and still proceeded to make a fool of himself. After making sure he knew he was in the wrong he still proceeded to try and charge me $42 for 1 person. Definitely needs to retire and be put in assisted living because the owner is way...
Read moreI honestly don’t know how they’ve managed to stay in business this long. I assume that it’s because they’re the only buffet in town. There used to be another with much better food, more options, friendlier staff, but they didn’t survive the pandemic. The selection here is limited, they don’t refill often, the breaded chickens are soggy and stringy, the beef bland and often tough, and most everything fried is swimming in grease. And for 10.50 a pop for lunch (up from $7 when I first started coming), it’s not only unconscionable; it’s offensive. I’m a sucker for a Chinese buffet and been to dozens across the country, but I can hands down say that this is the absolute worst. I’m fair positive that they CAN do better; after this many year, though, I just don’t think...
