Friendly staff, generous portions, and attentive service. We have been to Senor Lopez several times, and I have never had a bad experience. The food is not outstandingly better than other Mexican food that I have had in this area, but I don't believe that it is inferior in any way, either. What I do enjoy is the attentive and friendly staff as well as the small details that make this restaurant stand a lil above similar places in the area. For example, the establishment is clean, well-maintained, and in good taste. The finishes are very attractive to look at as well, from the carved solid wood chairs to the fire-charred & branded wooden tables. From my observation, the entire staff is hispanic/latino, so it's always fun to try and practice the Spanish I learned in high school and have a conversation with them. Their chips and salsa are fresh and have more flavor than just watery tomato sauce. They will gladly provide (free of additional charge) a very flavorful & more spicy salsa upon request, as well as queso if you prefer that to salsa. I have not tried any of their alcoholic drinks, but I notice that they have drink specials on certain days of the week. I did try their Horchata, and it came in a massive chilled mug that didn't need a refill by the time I was through. I would've enjoyed a lil more cinnamon or nutmeg flavor in it, but it was still good. We have ordered the Fajitas as well as the Pechuga Frita, which is a very good value for the money. 3 chicken breasts smothered in queso sauce (I ask them to substitute for chile sauce) with rice, beans, & tortillas for $8.99. I share with my wife & still have some to take home for later. I have always gone there with a large group of friends, and the plates that everyone else orders all look very good as well. I honestly have never heard one of them complain about the food or service that they have received. Speaking of the service, I have noticed that the waitstaff all work together very well; & the manager is also present and contributes to everyone receiving whatever they may need or request. They are personable and friendly, which always makes for a pleasant experience. There are a lot of choices when it comes to Tex-Mex food here in Oklahoma, & I wouldn't say that Senor Lopez is "awesome", "unforgettable", "life-changing", or some other extreme adjective. But for me it is a pleasant place to go for some good chips, spicy salsa, friendly service & surrounds, & more food than I can eat in one sitting, all for a pretty reasonable price. Kudos to y'all,...
Read moreUnfortunately, I'm not too impressed with this restaurant. The decorations: boots, tables, chairs, walls and screen TVS, all look good the food on the other side was not too exciting.
It took a little while for the server to bring our food. I ordered a steak fajita and so did my wife. The portion of meat was okay but it lacked taste. Most of the vegies that come with it were overcooked.
I like how they cut the meat to thinner strips but still there was not too much flavor.
The guacamole was fresh and the portion of refried beans and rice were okay. I believe they could have served some cheese with the chips while you waiting for your food but they didn't. I think it costs extra for the cheese dip.
My wife liked the Salsa dip a lot and said that she would buy it if they were selling it by the jar. I think that unlike the Fajitas, it actually had some flavor. I could even say that it was made right.
Each and everytime we needed something we had to holler for the waiter that did not take the time to check on us at all.
Unlike most other Hispanic restaurants I've been to, here you only get 3 small flour tortillas wrapped in foil at the time. I don't that's a bad idea at all but if you are too busy checking on customer, it may not be a bad idea to bring a little extra at the time.
The men's bathroom had a leak under the urinal and looked a little nasty. Over all I would say that our experience was okay. The person at the front desk on the other hand sounded like he was not having a good day and was not too friendly.
The prices were good for what you get and the soda was mixed right.

Read moreThe food is great. I have had good experiences at senor lopez. I'm not sure if I will return after my most recent experience. I called in a to go order for 3 fajitas entrees. I was told that it would be about 30 minutes. I showed up at 22 minutes, went inside to politely check in/let them know that I was there. The cashier looked at me.... I said my name is Alex I called in an order. He went to the kitchen then returned after about a minute and resumed his task with the credit card machine. Not looking back to me and saying anything or even a smile. I knew I was early and I didn't expect my order to be ready. But I seriously stood there ignored . So after about 2 minutes of standing in the walkway being ignored I took a seat in the entryway on a bench for about 20 minutes. I grew inpatient and returned to the cash register where I could see 3 Togo bags sitting this time the manager was at the register next to the cashier. I told the manager the experience. He answered with "well he had to go check on your order" so I explained that I understood that part. It was the manner that I was ignored when the cashier returned. He then said that he was sorry and collected full payment for the order. Which no one even tried to inform me was ready. I do not enjoy making my complaints public. However I don't feel as if my private complaint to the manager mattered to him. So now I'm letting you know. They were busy, however the whole time I was there the cashier was entering credit card tips into the machine and at least one server was rolling silverware..... so not...
