Simone's Cafe — Restaurant in Guthrie

wanted to share our recent and truly delightful breakfast experience from earlier today at Simones Cafe in Guthrie. My wife, my daughter, and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the overall atmosphere.

I personally found the BLT, which I chose to have with cottage cheese, to be particularly tasty, and the French toast, served with two perfectly fried eggs and a flavorful sausage patty, was also excellent. My wife was very satisfied with her club sandwich, and she mentioned that the fries and fluffy pancake that came with it were a great addition. Our daughter, Ripley, greatly appreciated her waffle, which was generously adorned with chocolate chips and fresh strawberries.

Beyond the delicious food, we were most impressed by the exceptional service we received. Each member of the staff we interacted with was remarkably friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome. Furthermore, we were pleased with the excellent preparation and wonderful flavor of all the dishes we ordered. The cafe's atmosphere perfectly captured the charm of a small town, which we found particularly appealing and added to the enjoyment of our meal. I asked a very rude man serving food if we could go ahead and sit at a dirty table since it was first come seating. He looked back and pointed to some people that just walked in and basically asked if I had cut in front of them. I said, no, we were here and then he said "sure" and I felt it wasn't a very nice "sure." Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The person that brought the food wasn't friendly at all. My husband's "over medium" eggs were not cooked, very runny like over easy. The grits were very runny. I would not go back. This country kitchen has the BEST Chicken Fried Steak I have ever eaten. It was seasoned to perfection with the best golden crust. The gravy was made from scratch. My husband and daughter had breakfast! The pancakes were perfect and fluffy. You didn't have to put much syrup. The cheese grits came in a big bowl! All of the food that day was very filling and inexpensive. To my surprise the daily special was Frog Legs, I was tempted to test them out but didn't have room. Our waitress made room for us quickly, because you could tell this was a hot spot for breakfast! Only 5 mins from Interstate 35! Well worth the stop for breakfast...
