This restaurant highlights the bold, rustic flavors of Yunnan and Hunan cuisine, with a menu that places a strong emphasis on Yunnan’s incredible variety of mushrooms. The natural umami from these ingredients makes every dish deeply flavorful and perfect for pairing with rice.
The pork kidney and throat were stir-fried to just the right texture — tender, slightly chewy, and full of flavor. The conch was another standout, crisp with a gentle sweetness. The fried rice with wild fungi and ham was aromatic and layered, rich in flavor with every bite.
