Ostioneria Colima — Restaurant in Hacienda Heights

Came to California with a craving for fish tacos... so I found this place and tried their fish tacos and shrimp cocktails (as others recommended), and omg they have satisfied my craving and beyond. The tacos are gigantic, with 2 fillets in each taco. Shrimp cocktail was also fresh and delicious.

Price was very reasonable - $1.99 for each fish taco and ~$10 for large order of shrimp cocktail. Note that their menu is in Spanish, so either do a little translation research beforehand or go with a friend who can read Spanish. To me it's an indicator of authenticity of this place. Staff was also friendly.

Finally there was a sign disclosing the $0.75 credit card usage charge but the cashier didn't actually make me pay that. Perhaps they realized later that...

Well, staff seems friendly. All I got was a large shrimp cocktail and a soda.

I'll give my opinion for what it's worth (I mean for being here only one time).

So like I said, staff seems friendly and the food (shrimp cocktail) was good.

I would have given it a 4-star rating, however, they don't sell beer here!! Not sure why; maybe because alcohol license is expensive or maybe because the owner doesn't want people getting drunk and acting stupid........but whatever the reason, I was really craving an ice cold beer with my shrimp cocktail! LOL

This place has THEE best fish tacos! I work a couple miles away and have been here around 10 times for lunch! So far all there food is great and service is very good too. The fish tacos are what brought my family here today, Sunday afternoon. There’s outside dining and all the tables were filled. We waited a while but it’s ok because there were a lot of people doing take out. The fish tacos are huge.
