This was our first visit, we had to come since my husband saw a TikTok clip and we were intrigued. Absolutely delicious pizza! Appetizers: 1. First off, we love how light and crispy the calamari batter is, well seasoned too! The squid itself was so smooth and easy to chew, not rubbery at all. 2. Mix hot appetizers consists of 4pc fried raviolis, 2 pc fries mozzarellas, and 2 pc chicken tenders. All amazing, especially the fried fresh mozzarellas. Unfortunately, the ravioli pastas were tough to chew! Pizza: We ordered a large pie and customized our pizza. I really love the fresh mozzarella cheese and the touch of fresh cut basils. 1.My husband ordered his half with sausage and pepperoni. He loved it! 2. I ordered my half with mushroom, olives, and peppers. I probably wouldn’t order the mushrooms next time since my side of the pie ended up too mushy. Each topping has its own set price, and our pie was charged for 5 toppings, and it came out at $28. It is on the high end considering how thin the pies are made. Notes: 1. Plenty of parking. 2. We went for a late lunch at 3:30pm and overheard a staff inform a walk-in customer that they close at 4pm. Seems like staffs were having their lunch break and prob to prepare for the dinner crowd. They should update their hours on Google Maps to avoid and discrepancies. 3. Our waiter could be friendlier and more welcoming with a smile. 4. Cash only. 5. No free soda refills. 6. Yes, we will definitely return!! Pies are delicious when eaten fresh. Tip: we reheated our leftover slices the next day at 350 degrees in a preheated oven for 8 mins and it was just as delicious. It even evaporated the extra water, no more mushy slices!!

Was in the area and stopped by on a late Saturday afternoon for a take-out large cheese pie. Was told there'd be a 30 minute wait for the $20 pie which was fine. We paid, then ran and errand and came back and waited a few minutes more for our pizza. We finally got our pizza in a take-out pizza paper bag?! no box?! That's something new. We got home and threw the pizza in the oven for a bit...it didn't keep hot/warm despite out short 10-minute ride home. The pper pizza bag maybe?! The heated pizza was very good...very authentic and tasted fresh. Though, there wasn't much flavor in the sauce nor cheese. Definitely could have used some salt/oregano/basil...The crust was one of the best crusts I've ever had. The space itself is nice with lots of tables. The menu has typical pizza restaurant menu items including pizza and various pastas. Parking lot there with a few parking spots but it was full when we stopped by on Saturday afternoon. All the staff we encountered were nice, patient and friendly, despite being really busy with both in-person patrons and managing phone orders. All staff seemed to be hustling and working hard, which is always nice to see. Kudos to them.

Brooklyn’s Coal Brick Oven is a walk down memory lane. Especially with all the Frank Sinatra’s Jazz music. If you’re looking for fancy, gourmet-style pizza with exotic toppings, this isn’t the place for you. But if you want a true, old-school NYC neighborhood pizzeria—the kind that feels like grandma’s cooking, made to feed and comfort you—then you’re in the right spot. Everything here is authentic, from the homemade cheese to the perfectly charred crust, just the way it should be. The only downside? It’s cash only. But for a place with this kind of history and tradition, I get it—it’s part of the charm of an OG establishment. Oh, and by the way, every BCA friend I know says they come here all the time. That should tell you something!

Get with the times no cash ? It’s like saying we don’t accept payment. And I get cases are lower however vaccined or not wear a mask when searching food ! It’s the law in NJ.when around food preparing. The pizza cheese and tomato pizza which says cheese I thought tasted like cheese pizza. I’m not racist but even the server that served us drinks I asked are u vaccinated she goes no. I’m like really in my head I’m like then wEar a mask. Usually take out food places require cash. So we just left after eating here went with my mother In Law and wife the server was rude and laughed when we asked if the staff were vaccinated one skinny Latino lady spoke in Spanish and made fun of us after giving us a dirty look and was like we ate all vaccinated but I she decide to wear a mask. The server ignored my mother in law when she asked for little ice please she laughed and walked away after asking if the staff were vaccined little did they know I understood what the lady said about us in Spanish she said I think it’s funny that they ask me if I’m vaccinated those dumb people but in Spanish is different then English translation . It didn’t make A scene however then when we go to pay the waiter stated no cash then stated you can go across the street to quick and come back if you like we’re like what ? Who pays in cash anymore I bet many people make the mistake of not knowing they don’t take cash. nowhere did I see anything about cash only when I left it was a tiny sign that said no cash and was blurry. Please get with the times get a damn machine for payment or use Venmo cashapp ot even square reader you get...

One star is a gift. I wish that I could close the place down. Last Saturday, my brother picked up a pizza to bring home. He immediately arrived at Brooklyn Pizza and I live right on the other side of the railroad tracks. The pizza was too expensive. Hello, this is Hackensack, not Brooklyn. Also, the IRS should audit them since it us cash only. They put the pizza in a paper bag. A PAPER BAG!!!!! I’m not getting popcorn in a movie theater. It was a warm day and the pizza was ice cold. We didn’t have time to heat the pizza in the oven, and that shouldn’t be necessary anyway. There was another review of cold, inedible pizza. I called the next day and the manager said that she wasn’t on duty. That wasn’t right, but I waited for this Saturday and spoke to the owner/manager. He said that the pizza will be cold in three minutes. So I guess that customers should sit on the curb and wolf down eight slices in three minutes. I told him that he should use boxes like other pizzarias and my pizza was always hot from nearby places. He said that he appreciated my call. That doesn’t fill my wallet or bank account. For good pizza, I would recommend Prestos, House of Pizza, or Lidos (famous thin crust pizza). Prestos has the best entrees and sandwiches. You will get a great meal with a...
