I had to run an early errand in Haddon Heights. When I finished, I Googled breakfast near me, Barrington Diner was one of the closest and had great reviews. It did not disappoint! The food was exceptional, super fresh and well prepared. I had eggs over easy with bacon, wheat toast and the breakfast potatoes. Every bite was amazing. I talked myself in to a short stack of pancakes (dessert with breakfast, LOL). I didn't finish them, but they were PERFECT -- best pancakes I've had in a while, just the right size and texture, cooked to perfection. The service was very friendly and prompt (I'm guessing from other reviews, it was Alex, I didn't catch her name). She was so attentive, refilling my coffee, checking that I was enjoying my meal, or seeing if I needed any thing else. Finally, the vintage atmosphere was like stepping back in time, it reminded me of the luncheonettes I went to as a kid in Brooklyn. The flat screen TV on top of the 50s or 60s vintage Coke fountain dispenser was a hilariously ironic touch. Everything about the experience here was amazing, I will definitely be back. Just so you know, they are cash only, so be prepared for that.

Another absolute gem, time capsule from a bygone era, authentic Jersey diner experience. I was the first person to be served today, Alex was wonderful, and the food was even more so. I had a long day ahead so I opted for some scrambled eggs, bacon and a short stack of pancakes. I almost NEVER get pancakes, I try to limit my carbs, but yeah, THESE WERE SO WORTH IT. The bacon was perfect to my taste, even the hash browns were done well. No artificial sweetener here, so I rocked plain old sugar (which I also limit/avoid) in my coffee. The decor is exactly what you expect for a place like this, I should have taken more photos. Anyway, this place ROCKS. Recommended!

We stopped in for breakfast and greeted immediately by Alex. She was so friendly and quick to take our orders. I got the french toast with sausage, and my husband got eggs over easy with toast. The food was delicious and the portions were just right. What a great little spot. I’m so glad we came in and gave it a chance! We’ll be back again soon. 2025: We just heard the news about Tom’s passing. We’re so terribly sorry for your loss, Alex, and wish your family peace during this difficult time. We’re also disappointed that this place has been bought out and will turn into a grill; we’ll have to look for another Greek restaurant to support. 🇬🇷

The owner and Chef is Awesome it reminds me of a Mel's diner off. T. V. very personal. IT is a Unsung Heroe Resturant, that has been there for many years. Surviving thru recession and depression" when I say the food is Dynamic everything the Chef/Owner puts his hands too is Delicious it really is and his waitresses are very intimate. I must single out my favorite waitress she the younger of the two. Her demeaner and kind gentle spirt along with the chef make this diner everything it is and shows that great minds think alike thru shear dedication, a mighty find example of great work ethic, endurance, resilance, power, boldness and authority it adds up to excelence and sucess, which they have proven here. We Need To Support these places, as few as there are. HELP THEM TO SURVIVE, AND COME BACK WITH SUPPORT OF THE PEOPLE, THEY MAKE/ MADE A HUGH DIFFERENCE TO WHOLESOMENESS. In this industry. It's a family atmosphere, ONLY the Strong Survive, and Barrington Diner is show enough a, Survivor an Entity of Pleasure, Joy, Hospitality, and Amazing Food. I give it ( 5 ) Stars to be a Down Home...
