About 10 years ago, on a wonderful NYE, i was staying at an adorable air bnb in Brooklyn. This was a grand time, aside from when my professional camera was stolen from my apartment, but I was there to see the band Phish, which made it all okay. I digress. Around the corner from our spot, there was this classic lil New York pizza shop. Doing as I do, late night pizza was in order. I was flabbergasted by the caliber of the pie I ravenously engaged with that evening. At the time, I had naïvely declared that it was most notably the best pizza I’d ever had and would ever have. For many years I grieved those perfectly crispy and cheesy slices that I had gotten to know & enjoy all those years ago. I lamented that upon my next trip back to Brooklyn, the air bnb listing was not able to be found, as that was the only surviving clue for me to find my way back to the gods of all pizza gods. And then, one day, my life changed. Brooklyn Pizza — OUR NJ neighborhood friends of Brooklyn Pizza — moved into town. Please know that the owners of Brooklyn Pizza are NOT the same as the mysteriously named pizza shop I’ll never find again. How do I know? Because THIS PIZZA is BETTER! I don’t know if many of us recognize just how lucky we are to have Brooklyn Pizza - THIS Brooklyn Pizza. So many in this country will never get to know what a real pizza tastes like, because you can only make it how NJ & NY makes it…well…here on the East coast! I hope we thank the pizza Lords each day for how blessed we are. I mean, we did always have access to somewhat above average pizza in our area beforehand, which I appreciated back then. But now…NOW that Brooklyn Pizza moved in a few years back, they totally changed the game. Sometimes I cry when I get that overwhelming craving, only to see that it’s Monday and they’re closed. They ruined pizza anywhere else around here because I realized that I was selling myself short and accepting food that was well below my self worth. I’m sorry folx, but I am no pleb. I’d rather go hungry on a Monday, or ditch my plan for pizza than settle. These guys raised my standards that I cannot and will not go back to slightly above average pizza, you see. I hope that you remember your worth today, and refuse to settle for anything less than pizza luxury, too. You deserve it. Now that story time is over ~ here’s the review on the actual food 🍕 THIS Brooklyn Pizza is the absolute best pizza of my life. When you call to order, I promise you the entire transaction will be the fastest phone call you make in your life. They are efficient, swift and get down to business. They are ALWAYS consistent with their cooking times, quality, service and food. I’ve NEVER had a subpar pizza, or anything from them for that matter. The pizza is “Well done but NEVER burnt.” The way the Pizza Lords always intended. They actually slice the slices all the way through, because who the hell has time to be cutting it the other 1/4 of the way when I’m just trying to eat!? There is also a special twist that you they add, with the Sicilian culture that I adore so much. The salads and dressings are always fresh, they have my favorite cannolis in all the land, and I don’t know where they source your ingredients from but they’re in another league entirely than these broke a$$ joke a$$ other pizza places, in terms of everything ~ quality, dank ingredients & a care for the actual CRAFT of food. They care about what they do, and that to me is everything. Sometimes, I’ll be driving en route to my home with no plans of getting pizza, sometimes not even being hungry, when my brain subconsciously processes the visual cues of their brick and mortar, right there, staring at me. At times I forget who I am and where I was going. My eyes gloss over and the next thing I know, I’m back in my car, gleefully eating a hot slice, right from the oven. Order the pizza. Get the dessert pie. Eat at your own risk, though & Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Ive been coming here for about 2 years now and usually was a fan of the staff and food always was above par. I have always talked highly of this restaurant and have brought them over a couple hundreds of dollars in sales through me and friends of family from recommending them. 2 Weeks ago I called and asked if their Square pies are thin and not thick, like Grandma Style due to the fact I dont order that from them. I was told on the phone that they were thin. I do not like Sicillian style pizza (thick squares). I brought my order home and discovered that their square pizza is not thin like a grandma style should be. If I was told that from the gate, I wouldve ordered a regular pie and even saved some money. I called the restaurant and they had me send a photo to confirm. They stated “Yes thats not sicillian, thats thin style” I decided not to argue being that Im a loyal cusromer and always been genrous with tipping when I have it and enjoy the food typically. I asked if I could return the whole pizza and get something else in exchange (even a regular pie, which wouldve been a $5/6 loss on my end). None of the pizza was eaten and I wanted to show to them that I wasnt trying to scam them and get free food, being that Ive worked in a pizza restraunt myself. The owner himself stated: “Well what am I good with the pie buddy” From then on, I knew how the owner true values are in business, he doesnt really care for the customers satisfaction, just the profit. It was no longer about the misunderstanding but their solution to solving a problem. They have lost my business and my recommendation. Save yourself sometime and go to Bricco in Westmont Nj. (I do not work there)

Located in a small strip mall in the great town of Haddon Heights, this absolute gem of a pizza place is worth a visit for sure. It has a really nice feel, the staff was friendly and the dinning area is large with tables that fit my whole family of 7. The food was amazing. We started with slices of pizza, including the buffalo chicken, the Sweet chili and plain and they were large slices with great taste. Next we had the mozzarella balls and garlic knots. They were so fresh and the sauce actually had proper seasoning, like you were at an Italian restaurant and not just a local pizzeria! The garlic knots were soft and tasty as well. Finally the cheesesteak and drunken chicken sandwich. Let me tell you. The cheesesteak is unreal. It’s actually steak, that’s seasoned and they mix two different cheeses on an either a seeded or unseeded roll. The rolls are made in HOUSE as well! They care about their food here. I got fried onions as well and it’s instantly on my top 3 in local cheesesteaks in our area. I can’t recommend It more! The drunken chicken was cooked well, the vodka sauce on it was amazing and it was just a well put together sandwich. Overall I give this place 5 stars! I would tell anyone in the local area to stop in! The owner was also there and was extremely friendly and accommodating!

Edit: After posting this review, the restaurant called the following day, and ultimately refunded the cost of our meal the night prior, so I'm changing the review from 1 star to 3 stars. I appreciate that they refunded the meal, but I think it should have still been handled in the moment, rather than only once you receive a negative Google review.

After reading so many positive reviews of this place, we're extremely disappointed. The first issue was how long it took for the order - 1hr and 40 minutes for a pick-up order. It was a Friday night and they were visibly very busy, but our experience was poor even in those circumstances. Despite receiving a notification that the order was ready (which was already well beyond the initially quoted time when we placed the order), we were told it was not quite ready yet, but would be soon. It took another 40 minutes before it was ready, and despite asking about it 2 more times during that wait, we then found out that they had completely forgotten about our order (it was mostly ready, but no one heated up the pizza slices in the order, so the rest of it was sitting ignored).

It was very obvious there was an oversight, which is not itself the end of the world, but how it's handled is what does matter to me. We heard someone in the open kitchen chastising other workers for forgetting to prepare our slices, but they didn't take ownership for the issue to us. Instead, they just handed us the order as if the wait had been normal, despite every other customer who ordered around the time we did having long come and gone with their food. There was no apology or anything at all offered for this inconvenience.

On top of the poor pick-up experience, once we got home, our slices of pizza were ice cold and there was a long hair in the chicken cutlet caesar panini, which was not nearly dressed enough with caesar dressing (maybe it had simply been sitting way too long during our wait). While the garlic knots were very good, we found the pizza to be underwhelming with too little sauce and cheese, so we're confused by all the...

Great pizza. We've ordered from here 3x in the last three weeks. Best cheesesteak hands down. Awesome honey moon pizza Bensonhurst

Original review: I am so disappointed. Ordered veggie pizza on New Years Eve. It was GREAT! FRESH garlic with fresh veggies, chef's kiss. Ordered various pizzas since and loved them all. Again, Pizza is great. I never felt bad about paying the high prices for their pizza. But tonight was an exception. I felt mislead and asked to pay an additional $4 for fresh garlic on the pizza and they did not even put the garlic on the pizza. Overpriced for a horrible pizza tonight. If it were up to me I would have driven the "delivery" order right back to the place but my husband and daughter were hungry and they fought me to let it go. Horrible service and horrible delivery as it took over an HOUR to get a simple order here.

Update: same night an hour or so later the pizza place calls the husband and to talk about my review. The girl asked him to ask me to modify my review. So I am. Thank you for removing the $4 garlic charge of a $44 Rustic Pizza. You should have kept the money and offered to discount the next order or something by a few bucks. You know? Try to keep the customer. But I guess not. Not exactly how I would have handled the situation... but se la vie. I ordered the pizza for the garlic and didn't get it. Okay, not the end of the world. Just disappointing.

We ordered from you because the pizza is great. We will not order from you anymore because the service was severely lacking and totally insincere. Slice in Barrington has an excellent Rustic Pizza and doesn't charge for fresh garlic AND has much better "human-like" customer service. Such a...
