So just went to Bruno's for the first time tonight. Full disclosure I am friends with the owner, but even if I wasn't I would have about this place if I found it. Nice cheery place, well lit, there is a separate but connected take out/lunch place attached to the restaurant. The restaurant is casual but comfortable. The staff nice and attentive. But what you really go for is the food! There were a list of things I wanted to try on the menu, but then when the specials were announced, I was sold. House made fettuccine, with mushrooms, truffle oil, in a white sauce with shaved parmesan was right up my alley. I was not disappointed. Excellent. The calamari I had to start was fresh and tender, not over friend. My wife had flounder in lemon butter sauce, and my mil had the manicotti. Botg the ladies took home food. The only reason I did not was because I didn't leave any. Already have a list of friends we want to bring back and share this hidden...

ONCE AGAIN, THE PIZZA IS EXCELLENT!

For anyone who had a bad experience in the past, I recommend giving them another chance.

I fully admit that the pizza here was lacking for a few years there. Bruno's has been around for a long time, and when I first had it, it was excellent. Then I heard it changed owners/ management/ chef or something else. For a few years there, it was mediocre. BUT RECENTLY, they've changed things up again and it's EXCELLENT again. Especially the margherita (i call this a grandma pie) and the broccoli white. We also like to get a side of meatballs. The french fries aren't great, though.

Please note, this is essentially a review of the pizza only, as we've never had anything but pizza, meatballs and french fries there. I can't comment on...

Very disappointed. The waiter never came to our table. Finally I went to the front counter and ordered, (now I’ve been here several times and it was really nice) the young man at the counter asked for drinks I said water - he pointed to the case. Before when I was there the waited on us and brought out a pitcher of water- this young man when I asked gave me 2 tiny cups of water with no ice. It just went down hill from there- never came to the table- no contact with anyone the entire meal. We got our own boxes and left. I called to speak to the owner and to my surprise he was as ignorant at the young waiter. He didn’t care about anything. I finally said looks like you don’t care either and I hung up. So disappointed the food was very good but I will...

This is the best pizza place I've been to in new Jersey. Been to a bunch in NY and this is too quality. Their margherita sicilian pie is my go to item - feeds everyone and their sauce is special that's why they are known for their tomato pies. their calamari - huge portion and feeds everyone for 20 bucks has big pieces and is the top spot for calamari. Every single item on the menu is a true win. Did I mention this is just the pizza side of the restaurant? The other side is an authentic Italian cuisine that is unmatched. Crazy how this place does the best pizza while still cranking out awesome Italian food right next door all within the same kitchen. If you go there at least try a Sicilian slice - tomato or margherita or you will have missed out big time

We came for lunch. I had the cheesesteak special. For$2 more, red peppers, mushrooms and fried onions were added to the very generous sandwich. I chose mozzarella for the cheese on my sandwich. I needed to add salt, pepper and parmigiana cheese to give the sandwich more flavor. My spouse got capellini with vodka sauce and lump crabmeat and a side salad with a roll. His pasta was very generous but the sauce lacked an intense tomato flavor and the crab was lump but nothing special. The lunch dining room is small. There was loud “music” playing but you could still hear other diners.

I ordered a 1/2 cheese, 1/2 pepperoni pizza but received an all cheese pizza. I called Bruno's and was told it was the delivery service's fault and to call them for a refund. I emphasized several times that the delivery service didn't prepare the pizza. The person I spoke to on the phone finally agreed that it was their fault and said sorry. I was then informed there was nothing he, the Bruno's employee, could do about it! Not happy!
