It was a Friday night, my daughter’s birthday and she loves sushi! So we went to dangs! Her choice for her birthday dinner, we’ve eaten there so many times before, but tonight was different! It was 5pm, not your usual time on a Friday to encounter a dinner rush in Hailey Idaho. We ran into dangs and were told it would be about a 1.5 hr wait. The kind gentleman assisting my family and I offered to call other restaurants to see if we can get in. We politely declined and started calling around . After stepping out for a brief moment with little to no success in finding a different restaurant. I stepped back in to receive wonderful news that a table had opened up for us! WOW! We felt so blessed and sat and settled on looking over the great menu on what to order. My daughter loves sushi so we ordered her a roll to share with her sisters and we also ordered rolls for ourselves and egg rolls. The chef special rolls are so big! They are delicious and a great value and made adjustments without concern to my liking! The owner asked my daughter what desert she wanted for her birthday because birthdays are important! He surprised her! The staff brought out the ice cream with a candle and sang to her! They also gifted her a very cute Thai coin purse! We then thanked the owner and the staff for giving my family and I such a wonderful experience! Not to mention our waitress was happy to take a picture outside for us! We felt so special, thank you! We need more restaurants like this!

Join the Club—Literally (But Not Me...Yet) One of the quirkiest features of this restaurant is their exclusive chopstick club—yes, a literal club. If you’re a frequent flyer (or maybe just charming?), they’ll bestow upon you a personal set of reusable chopsticks that they store for you like some Michelin-level VIP. I haven’t cracked the code yet, so I eat like a non-local with throw away sticks they hand everyone else. As for the food—I've sampled the pad thai, a few curries, and even ventured into “mystery noodle” territory. The meals haven’t knocked my taste buds into next week, but they haven’t committed any culinary crimes either. It’s what I call “safe adventurous”—like skydiving with two parachutes and a bouncy castle below. On my latest trip, I ordered the chicken pad thai, medium heat, extra lime because lime is life. The flavor was solid, noodles cooked well, and the spice level hit okay. I got two scallions. Two. Like they were being rationed. Maybe tariffs? Would I go back? Yes. Would I pretend to be someone else to sneak into the chopstick elite? Also yes.

Dang's has the best and friendliest service for Thai food and Sushi in Hailey. It's been fun to watch Dang's grow and go through construction. It can get very busy and has limited seating, so I always like to call ahead. Kids are welcome, but I like to take my young ones around 5pm so that we are in and out before the rush. Food comes out quick. I highly recommend the spring rolls, crab rangoon, hot salmon roll, any sashimi, the Tom Kha soup with tofu, any curry, and my favorite...Thai Fried rice with chicken. It can also be a great place for a date night! Saki is also always in order when at Dang's. The owner works hard along side of his staff, and that's always great to see. Very personalized.

I recently dined at Dang's Thai Cuisine & Sushi Bar, and I have to say, it exceeded all my expectations! The quality of the food is absolutely outstanding, with every dish bursting with authentic flavors. It's rare to find such high-quality cuisine at such reasonable prices, making this place a real gem.

The ambiance is warm and inviting, but what truly sets this restaurant apart is the staff. Everyone here is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. It’s clear that the employees genuinely enjoy working here, and that’s a testament to Dang's leadership.

Speaking of which, I had the pleasure of meeting Dang himself, and it’s evident that he cares deeply for his team. He fosters a positive environment, ensuring that everyone feels valued and appreciated. This all translates to a fantastic dining experience, where you not only enjoy delicious food but also warm hospitality.

Overall, I can't recommend Dang's Thai Cuisine & Sushi Bar enough! If you're looking for a place with great food, reasonable prices, and a heartwarming atmosphere, this is the spot for you. Five stars...
