El Antojo Colombiano — Restaurant in Haines City

Service was really good and everyone was really nice. Food was okay. I ordered a bandeja paisa and honestly I didn’t receive the amount of food for the price I paid. The arepa it came with was cold and the beans had a weird taste to them. I will say the chorizo was very good. The chicharrón needed to be cooked more, it was too soft. I’ve had better Bandeja Paisas for the same price. My cousin ordered a chicken patacón and it was hard to cut as if it were frozen beforehand, however he did mention the chicken had good flavor. My mom ordered the ajiaco and was missing the cream that makes the broth white however it had a good flavor. They also tried to charge us for water that was not bottled for $2 and we let them know and were nice to take it off the bill. I don’t think I’d go back but I did enjoy it and...

I like it but I don't love it. It's suppose to be Colombian cuisine but has Venezuelan dishes as well. I had lunch once. I had high expectations but I was completely satisfied. I don't care paying premium prices for good food or services. The cashier/server was very corteous, the place was clean, it has a big picture on the wall very cool looking like 5 tables. In my humble opinion it is overpriced. The food is good but not the best. My empanadas were greasy and half!!!, the other people I. The other tables seem to be enjoying their meals so I will try another dish in the coming future and will edit my review accordingly. I will give it 7 out of 10.. Delicious empanadas with great salsas. Lots of meat in both dishes we got. The loaded fries had just the typical ketchup+mayo fry sauce, but it's a staple for a reason - it tasted great, especially with so much sausage.

The strawberry juice was great too.

The staff didn't speak much English, which surprised me for such a large establishment. I speak Spanish, so no worries, but maybe something to consider if you don't (but I mean, come on, are you eating or chatting fr).
