I was not pleased the way my return was handled. Fortunately I took photos of the odometer and fuel gauge before I left the establishment and upon returning it. I rented a 26ft truck on April 6, 2024 drove off the lot at 8:32 a.m. and returned at 6:50 p.m. April 6, 2024 Upon my return I handed the key to the very same person who wrote up the contract for the use of the truck that morning. He also took possession of the appliance dolly and took it inside the building. I made sure I had the same amount of fuel in the truck as it had when I left that morning. I received my bill in an email today and found that I was charged for a two day rental, adding an additional $39.95 for the daily rental charge and $10 more for the appliance dolly. I was also charged $15 for 3 gallons of gas. I called the place when I rented the truck and he person who I had been dealing with told me he can't handle it I had to call corporate. I called corporate and they were very pleasant and helpful. I sent them the photos I had taken and since this is a third party establishment she forwarded the information to the person who handles this in the area. It was not a very good day for me renting a u-haul truck. I was sent to this location by corporate and was told I would get the truck for only $19.95 since I had to drive 10 miles out of my way to get it because the first location I had reserved the truck from had the truck but the key was not in the lock box. I could not wait around any longer for the manager of that location to come in since I had people waiting for me to assist in my move and now I was behind schedule. When I arrived at this location they had no idea what I was talking about, and I had to pay the full price of $39.95. U-haul did refund my money from the first location and gave me a $50 reservation guarantee, but I ended up having to pay for the extra miles, 20 in all so that was an additions $23.80 then this guy had the audacity to charge me for three gallons...
   Read moreThese guys are awesome, at no fault of theirs, I was running behind to pick up my trailer for a cross country trip. I had so many last minute things to do that I was going to actually arrive at their place after their business hours and after explaining my situation, they were so accommodating. While I was finishing up inside they had another guy outside hooking me up. They even helped me move some of my cargo to the trailer. Another cool thing was that they are a multi service company, they have many different talents. I started talking to the guy that helped me with my Uhaul rental after seeing one of their flyers and he cleared a few items up for me regarding my income taxes. Great guys, very friendly and great service. It's very nice to see a company that still makes the idea of "Customer Service" a priority. I will definitely use them any time...

THE DEALER ALSO SAID THAT I HAVE TO USE ONLY MY PERSONAL VEHICLE INSURANCE..
They would not allow me to purchase uhaul insurance!!!
I called Uhaul and was told this was not policy and was untrue! Go to another Uhaul dealer!!!
AND THEY NEVER HAVE THE TRUCK THAT YOU RENTED
