I've driven by many, many times, it is small and not well marked, in an ugly and low squat building with some sorta disco brownish stonework on the exterior, so it is easy to miss. So, dear proprietor, business would increase if you got new signage and made your building more appealing. See Mike at Boca Signarama.
Now, back to my review: Great value for the price, although the food is bland and unremarkable.
I got the standard selection of Chinese fare so as to have an accurate sampling. Hot and sour soup was neither, it was too thick and too mild at $3.95 for a large Special fried rice was what you would think, and unremarkable I rounded out the order with some lo meh-ein, and an order of chicken with broccoli
The chicken with broccoli was the star of the show. $10.75 for the large, and it took me a couple of attempts to finish the order. Very good and very big. The egg roll tasted like it didn't thaw long enough after it fell out of the Restaurant Depot bag.
Overall, the place is fiercely plain and is priced as such, and thus is a pretty good price value. If flavor is what you are after, bring some Tabasco and some organic Himalayan salt.
Small, great service, exceedingly stuck in time and tacky decor. So visit for that reason if nothing else. Very popular with the local, aged and retired set.

Read moreLychee is strictly take out and delivery . Next door to big daddy's on federal highway in Hallendale. Next corner north from Hallendale Beach Blvd . I need to sample more of the cuisine in this place . I have had the large House special soup which is a favorite for me along with 2 delicious spring rolls , and a small order of special fried rice . I must say the food is super tasty and they use no MSG . The phone service is great and they tell you when to expect pick up or delivery . They are very fast on the food . I highly recommend trying this place if you love chinese food . I have had 5 star chinese I will not rate it at 5 star however I will say I love the food they make and they are close by which makes a difference . The price is reasonable considering how everything has gone up in price except a paycheck . Lychee Gardens is definitely worth sampling based on the little I had . It is a shame the place is not bigger and made for some serious sitting down to a good meal in a resturante with some awsome company . Or for a couple with some children who want to sit and share food together . Hey you can do it at home with a nice significant other. Anyone trying out the food here at Lychees please drop a tex and let me know what your thoughts are on the food...
Read moreI ve been a good customer for years ever since I moved to Hallandale, but lately the restaurant has decreased noticeably its quality. Their Chinese fried rice has been reduced to “Chinese onion and soya rice” containing just that, a lot of onions, some bean sprouts and half a dozen of pork meat! For what I know is lacking eggs, scallions, and the other proteins you pay for when you order it “special”, today I also ordered special Chop Suei and it came with 2 tiny shrimps, no chicken ( I mean literally NO CHICKEN) and of course lots and lots of onions!! Common guys !! I know we are not talking about gourmet food here or a tasting menu, but at least we should be able to feel happy to get what we pay for. I just notice that are a bunch different options here in the Hollywood area, in Hallandale and Sheridan, I will most sure to try someone else and compare and see if am wrong or not!! By the way dont tell customers 45 min for delivery when it takes 1 hour and 25 minutes and the food is delivered cold! Not nice to buy food to a restaurant to put it in the microwave! And by the way the fortune cookies you didnt even send just keep it for your self and see if you get lucky cause if you keep doing this am sure you will need it more than me!!
