I went to visit Firehouse Subs in Hollywood Beach Florida this past weekend on 4 May 2019. I’ve eaten at Firehouse Subs for the last 15 years and this had to be the absolute WORSE experience ever! The store manager who was working the counter by the name of Cameron Russell was extremely rude and disrespectful to his employees! Although he talked to customers with respect, he was beyond disrespectful to the employees who were working the line. Guaranteed we did pop up un-expectantly with 10 people which immediately got them busy, but the way he talked to his employees shows that he does NOT need to be a manager at the restaurant. He was yelling at his employees in front of customers (as they continued to work with no one talking back at all) and started throwing the sliced meat on the counter. He even told one of the employees which was a younger Caucasian lady who I felt TERRIBLE for, to stand in her station and not to move from it at all. I saw she was trying to get some bread, and he was constantly being extremely demeaning to her. I assume he did not like what she was trying to do at the station and just told her to get out his face and go home! What kind of manager does this to his employees! He said all of this in front of the whole store which were about 15-20 people. I would like there to be some type of apology to the employees from the manager and I am extremely irate about his actions. As a former United States Air Force veteran, I have supervised troops and never could imagine talking to them in that manner. I was in Florida on a golfing vacation, and go there on a annual basis. I have shared this post with the people that were with me during this trip and we all collectively talked after leaving there and will absolutely not go back there EVER again. I was getting very aggravated by his actions and wanted to tell him to stop being disrespectful to his employees, but was told by a more level headed friend to let it go and just file a complaint. I feel terrible for those employees in store #96. I would like to know what kind of training is provided to managers, because it was not shown in...
Read moreThe food was good but the only thing good about it. I am here on a Sunday, May 30, 2021 at 2:48 Pm. There was no napkins, I went to the bathroom no paper towels. I ordered my food and I asked for no cherry peppers and then opened it and seen cherry peppers. I took the cherry peppers out and ate it. It’s very annoying when i asked for no cherry peppers. While I was ordering my food it felt very complicated and out of order, which is very annoying because i’ve ordered the same thing every time i go to a firehouse store. Because I was trying to replace the meat on my friends sub and they kept telling me they wanted to give me a separate sub with that meat and add everything on it. Which makes it very complicated because i just wanted to do a different meat.. While I was ordering food, I haven’t even got a hello or a thank you, or even a your welcome. Very Rude Staff. I said thank you, hopefully they can learn to be nicer. I just wanted to come in and eat my food but seemed overwhelmed in the process. While I was ordering my food, I get rude customer service, ended up getting my food incorrect, was out of stock on a lot of items, such as only having 4 different flavored chips, no paper towels in the bathroom. The 1 star is for the food because honestly even though it was wrong, it was still good. I am disappointed because this was the first time I had a bad experience with a firehouse. This is my first and last time at...
Read moreI was hesitant coming here because I have my 2 month old baby with me, and I was thinking about how I’m starving and it’s a lot of work to get the whole stroller out just to run in and get a sandwich... so I made the decision to do it anyways and just take the car seat out! Lol I know this is a lot of detail but there’s a reason. So I walk in and they guy behind the counter can see I’m not sure about what to get on the menu (it’s been years since I’ve been to one of these) he comes out from behind the counter hands me a menu, so I could sit down with the car seat. (Those things can get heavy!) he can see that I’m still having trouble figuring out what to get and explains what the still offer/ and don’t offer on the menu. I finally picked something! Then after ordering I waited for my name to be called so I could get up and grab my order, but he comes back around with the bag and says he will walk me out! I was so appreciative! He opened the door and everything. What can seem to be a simple task isn’t so simple for some, and this young man helped make my questionable stop for a sandwich a breeze! The receipt said Thomas on it, but I thought his name tag might have said Tommy. Either way if you read this please keep up those actions! They are inspiring! And very much appreciated! It’s the little things in life that make a...
