Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is 1 of my favorite places to enjoy a meal in South Florida. I would say it's the finest just because they have an excellent (affordable!) lunch menu! I always order 2 dishes, because you can't get enough with 1. Also because the Pad Thai is delicious & truly to die for! I've visited Bangkok (whatsup Khao San Road) & lived near Monument Park BTS for 6 months, this food is incredibly authentic & delectable! It's perfection, down to the texture of the soft noodles, to the scent of the lime & lemongrass, to the taste of sweet, sour, spicyness (plus chopped peanuts on the side). This dish is a must buy every time you dine here. In my opinion, padthai noodles are the best (healthy) fulfilling food you can eat, it's the best to have in the evening. This means that their portions are larger than usual, also why I am paranoid to check out other southeast Asian restaurants. "See Thai" all the way! Also usually order the udong noodles with beef (not soup) which is pretty good, not as dynamite as padthai or currys. also the basil vegetables with rice & beef. The spice from the basil leaves was absolutely exquisite! Really love the dishes at this place, of course want to mention, the lovely waitresses, who are so kind, generous & make you smile. Like the Land of Thai, putting the smiles in Sunny Isles (sorry i meant Hallandale) hmu on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe visited Sunday night about 7 PM. The restaurant was busy and doing a good take-out business. We were promptly and warmly greeted and seated at one of the booths.
We had the pleasure of being served by the owner Sa. She was very busy as she had given an other server the evening off in order to study. In any case we soon had our first round of drinks ( Foreign beers $5.99). The menu offers many Thai and Japanese choices. For appetizers we decided on Vegetable Spring rolls ($5.99) and a Tom Kar Chicken soup (Hot) ($5.50). The Spring Rolls consisted of 4 finger size, hot, crispy and very tasty rolls with sweet chile sauce. The soup had plenty of chicken and vegetables and was wonderfully tasty and spicy.
For a main course we shared a Shrimp Pad Thai Woon Sen ($17) and a Green Curry Chicken (Med) ($14.99) both served with rice. The Pad Thai was made with mung beans and very large tender shrimp. Excellent flavor. The green curry was a large bowl of wonderful chicken and vegetables with great flavor.
We brought home remain curry sauce with the intent to use the sauce to create our own curry.
A warm and friendly departure with Sa ended a...
