We’ve passed Alcati restaurant so many times since it’s opening because we live very close and finally last night my husband and I went to dinner and sat at the bar. If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would. the service was fantastic our servers name was Freddie. He went way beyond the norm to make our dining experience perfect. We started out with the dips which included, tzatziki, the beans, baba ghanoush and hummus. Very big portion and delicious. That was accompanied by the Turkish bread, which was delicious and in addition they gave us pita bread. I ordered a Greek salad, which could’ve fed two people very generous with the feta cheese and the freshest vegetables. I’ve yet to have here in Florida since I’ve moved from Chicago the cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers very fresh the dressing was delicious. We ordered the grilled whole Branzino and it was fabulous moist very flavorful. It came whole, but Freddie mentioned that you could get it filet or butterflied. This fish could definitely feed 2 people. Their wine list had glasses of wine for nine dollars which in every other restaurant around here is usually their happy hour special so we were very pleased with that. the decor is absolutely beautiful, huge restaurant. The outside is decorated very nice with curtains and lights, and I believe they have music from 6 to 10 on certain days. When I moved here from Chicago, I was looking for a good Greek restaurant and I was recommended to Greek Islands and all these other Greek restaurants and I know this isn’t completely Greek restaurant it’s a little bit of Turkish influence, but the food here is just perfect. We were extremely disappointed at how the manager treated my mother. We ate here on 10/29/21 in the afternoon. Me and my father ordered a salad, an appetizer and a dish to share and my mother ordered her own. I'm not sure whose mistake it was but my mother's dish arrived when we had already finished eating, about 50 minutes after we placed the order. And the restaurant was even empty! At that point the manager told us her dish was on the way but my mother refused the dish because we had already finished eating. Of course we shared with her, since they had only brought our food! The manager became pushy and then started arguing with my mother saying she had to take her dish and that it was not his fault -BUT IT WAS. HE IS THE MANAGER!!! Who else supervises the service? How can they serve a dish 40 minutes after the other? He even suggested she take her food home! He was extremely rude to a point where EVEN OTHER CUSTOMERS told him that a manager should never treat a customer like that. How can he treat a 64 year old woman like that? Unbelievable.
