I had really high hopes for this restaurant based on the rating and I clearly wasn’t disappointed. I’ll start with the pros: food, extremely flavourful and a good quantity (1 item per person is enough). Two items I would 100% you try is the red salsa and the chicken burrito. Both had immaculate taste and are the best salsa and burrito I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Everything was cooked to perfection, tender chicken, evenly cooked tortillas. Now, I won’t be too hard on this restaurant since it was my first time here, but I will state some cons but I will explain them as well. To start off, I think this restaurant is more popular with takeout, which isn’t a bad thing, but from what it seems, because of this, the dine in service is a little slow. However there could’ve been many reasons for this, including the fact that I came in and ate at 6pm on a Wednesday. Another thing I would like to add is a small thing about the chicken enchiladas. The taste was great, don’t get me wrong there, but there was a green salsa put on it which was overly sour and not spicy enough in my opinion. This could just be how the dish is, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of it (especially my mom). Otherwise the service and atmosphere were really good and I think out of all the Mexican restaurants I’ve tried, this is definitely the best one I’ve had in Connecticut. Finally, the exact rating I would give is a 9.57/10, so if you really enjoy this type of food or want to try something new, I definitely would recommend :)

It's only been open 8 months, but I can see how this would become my favorite place. The prices are competitive, but the portions are great! The last two place I had tacos they were very conservative with the ingredients, but these tacos were positively stuffed! We ordered 4 steak tacos & a quesadilla which were very flavorful & fresh (not cheap steak ingredients either - a really nicely cooked chopped steak) as well as a specialty water. I'm not sure what to compare the water to as I've only had it here. They had several flavors. I tried the cucumber which was very refreshing. They are $5 for a large container ( think large chinese plastic container with lid) which seems steep to me but for a treat every once in awhile it's worth it. The service was good and quick, and they allowed us to sample the waters before purchasing & that was really nice. I hope that the portions stay consistent bc that is honestly what will keep me coming back.

We came to Mazurka hoping for a good Mexican meal but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing The food simply was not good The tacos were dry and flavorless and the meat tasted like it had been sitting out for too long The chips were soggy and greasy and the salsa had no freshness or spice It felt like something out of a jar Service was also lacking We waited far too long for our food and the staff seemed distracted and unmotivated with little attention to customer experience We tried to end on a good note by ordering dessert but that too was underwhelming The texture was strange and the taste was bland Overall this is not a place I would return to The food quality was poor the service was weak and the whole experience felt careless There are plenty of better options for Mexican food Mazurka is not one of them
