Bill's Olde Tavern — Restaurant in Hamilton Township

We’ve been coming here for many years. The food ALWAYS comes hot and tasty. It sometimes takes a while, but it’s totally worth it. Zack is fantastic too. The garlic wings, fish and chips, and the pizza are my favorites. The owner is great, Zack is great, and everybody is super friendly. I’ll update this over time.

Edit May 2023: gonna have to revise my review and remove a star, quite frankly I should remove 2. Firstly they took the seasoned potatoes off the menu some time ago, the ones that came with the garlic wings you see in my photos. A staple, gone. The excuse? We can’t get them. Ok get your own potatoes, dice them, season them and fry them. Supply chain issues are not an excuse anymore. Second, it now takes upwards of an hour to get food. They cannot handle even a half full dinning room. They are lucky the food comes piping hot and tasty. But is it worth a crazy wait? That’s for you to decide.

To the owner: get potatoes and dice/season them yourself. You can’t have the amazing garlic wings without the seasoned fried potatoes.

Edit again, April 2024: Another star is coming off. The owner continues to remove good items from the menu (Edit 12/28/24, apparently the guy responsible for all these removals is no longer here, it was not all on the owner). Still no potatoes to go with the famous garlic wings, now the delicious spiral pasta and vodka sauce is gone too. In their place, frankly gross deep fried corn ball things. No thanks. Our last visit, pretty much everyone in our party had sour stomachs. Sadly, I don't think we will return for a while. Zack is still great though.

Edit: December 2024. All is forgiven. The spiral pasta is back, the garlic wings are amazing, the potatoes might be coming back, and the chicken parmigiana is still world class. We love Zack as usual.

Edit: December 28th, 2024: THE POTATOES WITH THE GARLIC WINGS HAVE RETURNED! I no longer sense a disturbance in the force!

Edit: February 15th, 2025: POUTINE!!! They have poutine now and it is delicious! A little slice of Canada in New Jersey!

Edit: March 21st, 2025: Busy dining room, happy customers, delicious pizza that in my experience is better than anything I can find back home in the NYC area, and the garlic wings platter is as amazing as ever. The owner makes the dough for the pizza in house. The red pepper flakes take the pizza to another level.

10 Stars!!! I haven't been to Bill's in ages. The Brookwood Cafe was closed due to vacation, so I decided to just pop into Bills. What have I been missing!? ALOT! Zack was the bartender and also my server in the bar area. He was absolutely amazing!! So informative with the menu and always checking to make sure everything was okay. He made my Cosmo's spectacular. I haven't had a Cosmo like that in over a year. It was perfection. And the perfect color pink like it should be. The food! WOW! There was a special on the menu -shishido peppers, grilled salted corn on the cob and crispy wontons! See the pic! I swear I'm going to make this chef become famous! Everything he touches is amazing. This appetizer was 10 stars! It was one of the best appetizers I've had in years! Just like my cosmo. The salt, the heat, the crispiness of the wontons were just simply perfection. Spectacular appetizer! I asked my bartender, Zack what he thought about the meat loaf special, and he said it was amazing and the meatloaf was homemade. It was delicious! It came out like a grilled cheese with a medium slice of meat loaf. The meatloaf was not undercooked. It was cooked perfectly and so tasty with cheese. The French Fries are like boardwalk fries! Perfectly cooked and delicious! This place is a gem! I am going to be a regular. I was talking with other tables and they said the food is always soooooo good. The Chef, his Staff and Zach deserve accolades! The best service and food I have had in Hamilton...

I am so upset right now...and sad. Ive been coming here for 5 yrs now. Tonight we got a chance, after having a baby, to come. We live in philly now but on my first night able to go out in 2 YEARS i demanded we drive to bills.

Welp...i put a favorite song of mine on....a spanish aventura song. Im not spanish but i like the song ... the girl brown haired tender who has been waiting on us since day 1 there started complaining about the song....along with the whole bar complaining about the song. Her complaining got them all riled up. She turned it off...altho i PAID for it. Ive never been so embarrased. I coulda went to any of the bars here in philly and i still came here, and got RACISM thrown in my face and had a bartender and half the bar chastising me. I literally have tears in my eyes right now.

I will NEVER waste the gas to come back here.
