Family Cafe — Restaurant in Hamilton Township

Went to try late lunch/early dinner menu. The options for meals is great (being able to pick a salad instead of fries without an upcharge is nice). I ended up getting the avocado bacon burger, the sum of the parts of it were good, its just that together, it was a mess. For example, it had quite a few slices of avocado the problem was they were 1/8 slices on a bun that didn't have the strength to hold together when squeezing the rest of the burger to pickup. The patty itself was ok, but could tell either was frozen or smashed too much because wasn't very juicy. Overall was an OK meal, I'm gonna guess and say their Forte is breakfast foods more than lunch/dinner meals. Will try another time, but will probably keep to breakfast...

The atmosphere was great, very homey & clean. However, our waitress came over about 3 times asking “what do you want” within the first 5 minutes of us sitting down. I took a look at the menu and was confused.. how do 2 pancakes ALONE cost $11?! How do 2 eggs ALONE cost $9?! Then any choice of meat for $3.99. I understand that doesn’t seem like a lot of money to most, but $20 before tax for just 2 items is ridiculous. I left and went to Broad St Diner, highly recommend, and got 3 pancakes, 2 BIG pieces of scrapple, 2 scrambled eggs with cheese, and a cup of milk for $15 before tax. I went into this place 1 months ago. I ordered 3 eggs and only got 2 then I saw one of the waitresses pour coffee from someone’s cup back into the pot after the patron drank from it. I thought I would give them a second chance and went in there today the service was lousy the staff was very unfriendly. I was seated at a dirty table with sugar on it and my salt shaker was covered in syrup. I asked the staff to correct the issues and in all fairness they did correct it but the waitress had a bad attitude like I was bothering or something.
