Truly Stellar!!! Been patronizing this concern for going on 4 years now and can frankly state it is a Gem in Mediocre Surrounds. Every restaurant I have been to in the area boasts there Best This & Best That and more often then not all you get is mediocrity at lofty prices... JoJo's has no need to boast their wares, because the cuisine definitely speaks for itself.
Best Bar Pie in Area Hands Down! Very Clean Bar and Dining Room. Friendly Welcoming Staff provide Prompt and Accurate Service with Smiles & Good Cheer all around in this Family Friendly Hostelry that exudes just a hint of a Sports Bar feel, particularly Mark the Bartender w/out whom it just would not be the same. Could not live after growing to appreciate his professional salutations and presentation of menus without dispensing with the pleasantries and getting right down to our bantering back and forth breaking each other's stones; it would not almost be worth the stop, Lol!
Everything on their well-rounded, encompassing, and appetizing menu; not only is more than reasonably priced but hides delictable cuisine of top quality fresh ingredients as well, which we all know dictates phenomenally great tasting food for anyone's palate. If you hit a fluke and something's over/under cooked, I am sure they have no problem making it over for you, though I have never personally experienced pedantries such as these. So explore the full menu because they have something for everyone, but, don't discount the "Daily Lunch Special" Rolling Video Screen up on the wall either.
I consider myself an exceptional cook for someone who is self taught, and I scrutinize everything when I eat out up to and including the bill. I don't even look at the bill here because I am to enthralled at the satiety I receive from their scrumptous offerings at such reasonable prices, the feel-good impressions of being treated as if I were family, and Warm Reception and Aeidu(s) I get here when I drop by for a great lunch; and am not only too glad to pay it, but more so compelled to tip well without question, truthfully! And for me that's impressive, I could go on and on but you get the point and should definitely stop in and give it a try. For me Jo Jo's is home for the Lunch Stop on any given day. Just be sure to get there early if you wanna good seat! Tell'm...
Read moreAll in all, a good day, if I may say so, myself. Went over to jo Jo's Jo's Tavern, with Cultinary Road Trip to see what was poppin. This place has been owned by the same people since 1962! When we arrived, the place was empty. But they had just opened the doors for business..😂 ( We like being first!) We were greeted by VERY friendly staff... and then we met jo jo. Real nice guy. He truly appreciated our visit to his establishment and treated us like family. The waitress was on point, and eager to serve us. Food was ordered and brought out in a very timely fashion. Hot and FRESH! We ordered a variety of things..(of course)..😂😁. We started off with the bar plain pizza...I'm not a pizza fan, but I gotta say.. this was hittin! A nice thin crispy crust... on to the homemade chicken noodle and French onion soups...👈 to die for! Then the wings came out. We had hot and mango habanero... 👈 tasty morsels... All that fun stuff lead to the main course... stuffed pork chop...AMAZING! But the chicken and pasta to me was the one that brought it home... The asparagus really gives this dish its flavor. 👈 it came highly recommended by staff members as a plate to order. I give it a 10. After devouring half of the menu. We said our goodbyes... and I came home and passed out...😂😂😂 jk..jk.. So if you're in the Trenton area, stop in and get you some GOOD grub! I don't think you'll be...
Read moreMy wife and I sat at the bar last night 9/26. We are locals and we give this place a try every so often. Last nights experience was the worst even though prior visits were not much better. The first issue is that this place packs everyone in like sardines. There are more seats / tables then parking availability. We had ordered food at the bar and that was a challenge with the older female bartender. The young female bartender was trying to help whenever possible. I had ordered the 18oz steak that came out over cooked and sliced up. My wife’s Salmon came out over cooked and dry. When I had complained about the steak, the bartender staff decided to escalate the situation instead of taking care of the situation. Telling my wife and I that “no one has ever complained about there food in all the years the place has been open.” For obvious reason I said that was a lie and they need to learn customer service. There are plenty of reviews of people complaining about the food and those who choose not to make it publicly known… They should just stick to pizza and appetizers. At least that’s what some of the guests were saying last night. The poor customer service and food was scene by the entire bar and restaurant. The bartenders might feel good about yelling at a customer but at the end of the day the restaurant will be...
