Long John Silver's | KFC — Restaurant in Hamilton

Ordering was a total snafu, ended up with only half our food, had to go back up to the counter, order more food, two more counter trips for condiments. One plate they didn't bother with niceties, like a fork. You have to ask for everything except salt and napkins. I was tired after 4 trips to the counter already, so I ate with my hands and let my bestie have my fork. The fish and chicken were both hot, freshly made. Hushpuppies were excellent. My salt packet dumped in a clump, so my fries were kinda weird. The guy who took our order was nice enough, but the way he kept running away from the register made us feel like he had better things to do. I felt like I bothered him. Especially when I went back to order the rest of the food that I'd thought we'd ordered and paid for. He just stood in back, looking directly at me, but didn't move towards me for a full minute. I could see him, just standing there looking at me. It was weird. I was the only customer at the counter. The photos of the Colonel out in dining need some love y'all, he's got more fingerprints than the local PD. Bathroom was clean, stocked. Just stopped in at this location for a carry out order. I ordered "By the Piece" for my husband and I. Two fish, one chicken, three shrimp and hush puppies. I had been dreaming of the fish with malt vinegar all week long. We don't have a LJS location near our home in Lebanon OH, so once a month we have to travel to a Dr appt in Hamilton. We always plan to go to Long John Silvers on Geo. Washington Way. Last month, we got there about 1:45.The fish tasted greasy and old. We kind of figured it was "lunch leftovers". But, today we arrived at 4:30 pm. Hoping that they were prepared for the dinner rush, we were excited about hot, fresh crispy fish and shrimp. Nope! Again, we received greasy, refried product that appeared to be lunch leftovers reheated. Truly awful. We picked the grease soaked batter off and ate what we could, But it was NOT good. We LOVE Long John Silvers. This should be an easy fix. Change the grease in the fryers. Throw out old product instead of holding it and refrying it. We pulled into the drive thru at 10pm on Wednesday last week. We really wanted LJS: we ordered an L4 with add a piece extra shrimp. We were told they were out of shrimp for the night. Then we ordered an L2 add a piece of fish. Then I ordered for myself: L2...and they stopped me to say after they make the first order they're going to be out fish now. So I ask what dark meat chicken do you have? They said "we have wings only". So the LJS is out of fish and shrimp and KFC is out if chicken?? Y'all know they didn't want to make anything at 10 ... The food we ended up with: 2 pieces of fish and 1 chicken plank and soggy fries that tasted like cinnamon and 2 hushpuppies that could have been used as weapons they were so hard.
