Well Iâm pretty disappointed and have never left a negative review before, but this one seems necessary. I kindly commented on the businesses facebook page as a suggestion but rather than responding they deleted my comment.
My family decided to try out the new place in town. We were excited for crepes but were bummed to find their takeout only. I am not interested in eating a messy crepe in my vehicle, and I certainly am not interested in my two small children trying to eat theirs in their car seats. We opted not to get the crepes, but wanted to support the new business. We got a couple of drinksâ they were standard coffee and tea. My kids each picked out a chocolate. Unfortunately my sonâs peanut butter chocolate cup was so stale it was not edibleâ even by a child who eats anything that has sugar. I believe the candy from the Darby location was just brought over.
My Facebook comment suggested the large space in the middle that is taken up by a huge section of candy be used for a couple of tables instead. I even ended my comment on their page saying we âlove supporting new businesses â¤ď¸ â They were not interested in my feedback, so I decided to rate them on google as per their more recent Facebook post suggested.
Iâm really bummed, but a new candy store in town is not really necessary. A crepe place really did sound...
Read moreSo disappointing! Brought my grandkids to pan for gemstones and fossils. The young ladies working didnât seem to be interested in doing anything, other than working the drive thru. When I told the girl we were interested in panning she said, âonly if you take it home.â What? She reluctantly explained that there was a possibility of rain (it was overcast, definitely no immediate threat of rain) and we couldnât pan, because if there was lightning, we would have to stop. Again, seemed more like she had zero interest in helping us, than any real âsafety issue.â I asked about the different bags and she literally pointed to the pictures and said, the prices are right there. So, we shopped for candy and when I asked about certain candies, we were told they were waiting for a candy shipment. This was Saturday afternoon, in June⌠seems like training the inventory manager would be good, too. We bought some candy and asked for 1 fossil and 1 gemstone bagâŚonly then did the young lady tell me they were out of the fossil bag. (Definitely could have shared that info earlier, when I asked about the different bags). Iâm sharing all of this in the hopes that the manager will read this and train their staff better, so future customers and children are not...
Read moreWhat a cute new place! Theyâve done a great job with setting up this candy store and my kids had a wonderful time there. Iâm not sure if maybe theyâre using old candy, but almost all of it was pretty stale. For example, the taffyâs were not soft at all-they were crunchy Some of the fudge was fresh, yay! But, the sâmores fudge square was dreadfully stale, we had to throw it away. Bear claw and haystacks were rocks. Seriously, like these things couldâve taken out Goliath, lol. Gumballs were kind of a choking hazard for my kids. Maybe get some fresh product in and then youâd be a 5 star place! Super sweet customer service, but unfortunately we...
